I'd love to see the bois do a session sometime where they focus solely on the game and without any stream- or video-related commentary, just out of curiosity as for how it would affect their level of play. From personal experiences, communication makes and breaks sides in fast-paced team games like these. Not only does coordinating your moves and relaying information make it easier to stay coherent and execute team maneuvres, it also gives you hope and keeps you focused when things aren't going so well. If your team is doing worse than you expected and no one's taking charge or saying much, that void is quickly filled with confusion and doubt, which in turn lead to hesitation, bad decisions and just generally letting your nerves get the better of you. The recording format where they try to be entertaining while playing the game makes their team communication piss poor at the best of times. These videos extrapolated it further, since they also had to chat with the other team while playing; it's actually a good example of what communication does, as they only managed to get back on top after giving up on the chatter and mostly just making play calls in the last game. Just to make it clear, I'm not criticizing anything: it's great content, always has been and I'm not saying they should change anything in the grand scale of things, but the fact their team game has always been slow to improve and stagnant for a long time now seems to be getting to all of them at times, especially Smith. And Smith of all three looks to have recently improved the most personally, it's just a real shame. I wish they could experience their own development and growth as players to their fullest, at least from time to time, and I really don't think it would take more than focus and active communication to make that happen.

The idea of them doing a try-hard game is kinda interesting! I think it'd be cool if they did a few games where they were fully focused, as you said, and then commentated over the top after the game was over (Ross' commentator voice is always spectacular, haha). I think it would be interesting as a little mini-series, just to see how good the Chocolate Bois can really be.
