Also, the difference in HP with Hood and Bismarck: during early PVP testing phases when pvp HP modifiers that were tested on “meta fleets” of the time, she probably just got a higher adjustment before Yongshi and Manju settled on a good stat for average SR battleships. 5:05 I have two guesses for Tirpitz's increases health over Bismarck, 1. Tirpitz had an more durable rudder and slightly improved armor over the Bismarck, can't really find any sources for this though, but I know for certain Tirpitz did go through some refits that did improve her over Bismarck. 2. Tirpitz withstood strikes from around 1000 aircraft including several near misses of tallboy bombs, and two direct hits with the third one sinking her, each weighing 5 tons or 12000 kilograms and were designed to create earthquakes. Despite this she still sunk relatively intact which I suppose is a tad bit more impressive than withstanding the wrath of the entire British home fleet for several hours.

You made a big mistake, hood's main gun should be 381mm, not 410 or never MK6, because hood has a low FP, her dmg depends on her barrage, so you want more speed.Specifically, when against a light to medium armored enemy, you want 381, when against heavy armored, use 406mmSKC

If you are new player, you can use 410 twin because of its high availability. Hood's personal twin 381 mm gun can only be obtained by researching, so not many during early game can gain access to said gun. And for new players, the cost to upgrade it won't be cheap.

You're getting better at this. I remember your first attempts to make this kind of videos. I just watched them because I enjoyed them not for infos because they were baaaaad and sometimes I wanted to cry. But now I watch the new ones because I hope I can hear something what I don't know about the game or something that might get me thinking. And of course I still like your bad jokes. :D Only one thing what I think I can suggest to this video. Most of the time I use "Twin 40mm Bofors STAAG" AA gun on BBs/BCs because of hit stat. I only use "Twin 113mm AA Gun" when I don't have Twin 44mm STAAG. Warspite has 100 accuracy which is the best among BBs/BCs. Even the weakest CA is better in accuracy than Warspite. Hood only had 68 Acc at Lv120. +10 accuracy is about +15% accuracy boost for her. She even don't have accuracy boost from skills like Warspite. If she misses her shots at higher Lv. bosses means a lot of DMG lose. So I think if you can then you should use "STAAG" AA guns on BBs/BCs. You need better AA only at higher lvls but you also need accuracy for overall better or constant DMG at that point. So "STAAG" is the winner for me. Not in all scenario but most of the time. Apart from that "Twin 113" is a good pick too.

One barrage and one shelling would sometimes be enough for the whole stage with hood, so it's mostly situational, there isn't one true gun that's 100% perfect. I'd always hold out on hood's barrage so lower CD doesn't help much, Twin 410mm is good enough for me imo

It's dangerous for a guide like this to spread around Azur Lane community. Your gear setup is very questionable. I won't bother if it is just for meme, but as you seem to make a serious guide, even half-assed, I must say something. I have no problem with your main gun and your secondary gun, it's your choice (even though Hood should use her personal gun for bonus +45 Firepower for her barrage and for the timer between shots). But for fuck sake, stop recommending roomba gun on ship with less than 135% AA efficiency (read: the damage output multiplier, mean that the AA damage you deal will be 1.35x more). Instead, telling the players to use STAAG gun, or Hazemeyer gun, or at the worst case, quad bofors gun. Using Roomba gun on Hood is a fucking joke. Also, you said Amagi is better than Hood, but that's partially true. Amagi is better than Hood in chapter 11 and below, but in higher content like chapter 12 or 13, Hood is absolutely better choice due to better AA (and thus, suffering less damage from airplane, please refer to AL wiki for more detail). So yeah, if you want to make a fun guide, at least make it have some accurate value. Your previous guides were kinda okay, but not this one.

I've always taken the perspective that you'd want 113's (Roomba) on Vanguard only. Highest damage/slowest reload of all gold-scale AA I think. Unless there are some exceptions for better performance from DD's, CL's, or CA's that use specific AA guns. I would much rather annihilate planes entirely before they even reach my Main Line, feels like one of the major reasons to even have a Vanguard. I would think inputting the STAAG would be the best for BB's even if only for the +10 hit. I'm desperately trying to build a 4th one. As for the main gun, I'm not sure why the Twin 381mm isn't mentioned for the high Salvo activation as it has been mentioned elsewhere for Hood, Arizona, and the Big 7 Sisters. Flat out damage is great, but if have somewhat lower damage that fires more frequently, you may end up doing even more in the end and possibly hitting more things spawning in than firing massive amounts of damage, landing on nothing, then having to wait for another volley. Just my observations, still relatively new to the game.

There is no way in hell Amagi’s barrage is better than Hood’s barrage Hood’s barrage is way more focused on has weird modifiers that eat everything up Hood is better than Amagi, she can be used everywhere in the game and will very much help you a lot Amagi can be used up to w12, she’s terrible in w12/13 because of her very shitty AA, she will eat a lot of shit there Hood has better survivability than Amagi with her 8k hp and nice AA stat for a backliner As for the suggested gear, I really don’t know what to say The main gun she should take twin 381 advanced, for more barrage procs, triple 406 mk6 is VERY bad for her because that gun is only for pure shelling BBs and Hood has meh shelling, you want more barrage For the secondary gun, the twin 120 would be better, it fires normal shells which travel faster than HE shells, and it has slightly better dps than twin 127 As for the AA gun, like every other battleship she should take the bofors staag, Hood has low luck, which means she needs more accuracy so her shells would hit

BB/BCs with strong/useful barrages should never use the mk6 (or similar), instead use the twin 406 or the rainbow 457 if you have it (against heavy focused maps). If you're just starting out the purple twin 410 is a great gun for ships that want some shelling damage and quick barrage proc. Take the mk6 if you don't have a firing based skill or the barrage is on a timer.

Maybe it's because you don't use Hood so you don't know but it is also for any player who is new. Get HOOD! Hood is amazing and has an extreme high damage. The problem that videos like these have is thag they don't realise that Hood's Fire Power despite being low doesn't hinder her in causing mass destruction. How do I know? My Hood is of level 120 and 200 affinity which means she is as good as she can get. I kid u not when i say this but I have fired only 2 shots in an entire boss battle and the end result usually has hood dealing 120k damage. The damage varies but it always, I mean ALWAYS is above 30k per skill shot used if her barrage also procced. 30k is a lot you know and that is the lowest i have seen. She has many times hit bosses with 1 skill shot dealing 60k damage. Why am I telling this? Because Hood is only few of those amazing Backliners you can get even at the beginning of the game while others you may or may not. Using her when farming for Monarch made everything easier. Do you know what people say about Monarch? Monarch who? One of the strongest backliners to exist in game who is specially made for late game? A better version of Hood. That statement is enough to make people believe that Monarch is awesome at max level because Hood is an extremely strong backliner. I can't say anything about amagi because mine is still at level 94. And i have never used her well that would be because the re run for amagi happened few weeks ago, so for anyone who thinks u got a bad deal when u get Hood . NO! You are literally getting a goddess who is also extremely viable in late game.

I am pissed but I have no right to be. I got 5 Amagis, FIVE, TWO BB Kagas and multiple copies of all the other event ships on the gacha but no Tosa. I want her to have that complete event backline! I was gonna pair them with Belfast, Atago and Chapayev, but she just refuses to appear. I spent almost 250 cubes and now I am scrambling for 1 or 2 at a time in comissions and a few main story missions. I don’t know how I got 2 BB Kagas at 0,5% chance but no Tosa. I go with twilight Ravens. I basically use his loadout since ages. Works pretty well. Altough One would say having an Auto loader on a battlecruiser might be a questionable decision, triggering her barrage First and reload buff skill helps a lot and generates more damage or utility than pure damage alone. Plus not everyone can afford type 1 and heavy shells on every Ship necessary, atleast starters, same goes for maingun choice. Not everyone Has twin 381advance available.

Probably a decision Made by availability. The 410mm is usually a good choice Due to high damage and it is easy to get. The twin 381mm should be the way to go however. On most if not all barrage dependent bbs and bcs.

Opinion. 100% biased: you can. Just bear in mind that position on the backline often affects where the barrage can hit. Amagi's is more or less a straight line. Whatever is in front gets hit. Hood's barrage spams bullets everywhere. But is bit of over kill to throw them into the same fleet. By all means, please do though. Amagi's buff and debuff effect paired with the reload boosts from Hood should make your whole backline insane when they proc (should check the abilities, as I am assuming they will stack).

yeah your equip is trash, you must use gold 381mm HE for true barrages, deutch 128mm secondary - it best DD secondary gun for main fleet, and some 40mm bofors AA cuz 113mm must use only on vanguard ships

use hoodgun twin 120 staag and double shells the gear u used is pretty bad also amagi did NOT powercreep hood and amagi's barrage is nowhere near as good as hood's. hood is literally better than amagi for w12 and 13

Quick tip: If you don't have any of the two shells just go with double auto loader because barrage once every 20ish second is really good for mob fleet.
