For sure Critical Role makes D&D more enjoyable for non-players. I mean they are professional voice actors and have a lot of lovable personalities, and Matt is on hell of a DM but I assure you, while D&D is complicated to learn at first, you can try and start with your friends from zero and learn on the way like my party did, and while I am no Mercer and my dming style is different, we have a lot of fun as a group every session!

Except the only "Gay Actions" were between Beau and Yasha. All Caleb did was kiss Essek on his forehead, similar to what Mollymauk did to pull Caleb out of a PTSD episode, so the kiss was meant in to be a reassuring gesture since Essek was grappling with his guilt of working with the Cerberus Assembly and sparking the war between Xorhas and the Empire.

All the meta knowledge they have of Exandria is now both useless and a really meaty plot hook to drive the players to find out what changed the world. What if all the mighty nine get what they want the most...Jester's parents never separated, Fjord stopped the destruction of his Captain Vanderan's ship, Veth escaped the goblins unscathed, Caleb never killed his family. All these wonderful things for the Might Nein... but there is a cost and now the new characters are caught between righting the universe but also taking away their previous characters happiness.

@@toddalexander5015 I feel like that would cause more bad than good imo as we don’t know the rules of time travel in this world. Matt said in an earlier episode that their is more than one prime material. That either means a multiverse of individual worlds, or a multiverse of Exandria. I believe that Artagan said that, so I think the gods are as well, multiversal, and that would put the entire pantheon against them, so Caduceus probs wouldn’t like time travel (it meddles with the god’s plans and all that).
