Yo that was a great video man that’s an item I knew little about but I’ve seen before. It’s good you make detailed videos on these little obscure items but have a real importance. Love the content man keep em rolling

I've got a few p 38s I know are WW2 because they are on a GIs key chain along with his foot locker key and other stuff.

So I did a little bit more research and it looks like the androck P-38 can opener was made by the Washburn company all the photos I've seen of the WW2 dated Washburns in there original paper wrapper are stamped ( U.S. AndRock ) on the can opener. The reason why they're stamped And Rock is because the Washburn company is located in Rockford Illinois.

Awesome informational video about the P-38 but you forgot one company the Washburn co. they also made P38 during World War II. I collect P-38 can openers I have about seven or eight from the 60s still in its original wrapper.

You know that is where I was having an issue because they kept referencing Washburn as an over arcing company for one that was named...I don't have my notes but I will look it up and let you know...it was a bit confusing...something like Androck was a subsidiary of Washburn.

Another great video my friend, do you by chance have any plans on coming up for the Northwest militaria show on June 22-23rd? Its one of largest in the country (not the show of shows but there is supposed to be over 100 vendors), if so we should meet up, Rootbeer1234980 and I are going together we go to the same Highschool and have know each other for around 6 years now, and some of my other friends are going as well. I know its far from you but it would be cool to meet up!

I’m guessing that the locking design will wear out after some use, I’d say it could be nasty if that happened in your pocket !

The military issued P-38 will last a lifetime! They still put p-28s in with the MRIs!
