Mike Osborne starts off a lot like Yusef Lateef but quickly takes off at light speed in his own direction along with copilot John Warren they soar though riffs and cord changes like birds in flight. Harry Miller is absolutely brilliant on bass as is Chris Spedding. The horns are spot on and are reminiscent of "Tower Of Power" or "Chicago" Mike Westbrook sets up a chilled groove on piano and for the love of god! who the hell fed raw meat to Alan Jackson? the cat is a freakin' beast of drums. If this is "Love Song No.1 I can't wait for No.2 " The Mike Westbrook Concert Band" is brilliant and the track is cool beans and a fantastic addition to any play list.

mizpahboy Alan Jackson's groove is impeccable, and yes, Love Song #2 is even better. The whole album is a masterpiece
