Just a heads up, try unplugging the fuse for the radio and see if that helps, ours did the exact same thing and it ended up being the amplifier for the speakers and everything

If you regeared you could.. also, if you had headers, full exhaust tuned and running E85 I'm sure itd be different. My 5.3 is quick with all that done to mine with 24x14s and 35x15.5s
