We need more bolder decision like this from the sporting states like northeast, West bengal, Punjab, Goa, Delhi etc. ONCE again thanks KSA and Kerelavasi I can't sleep thinking about all these reagional teams compete in ISl league format we are going to have more than 100 teams more matches and more play time for our players, more development.

I would say they should take in local clubs into their league upcoming years Kerala 7's football is huge they should make into a bigger thing and convert it into 11's so this way the competition increases more teams can come in ....more players etc

the best option would be to integrate KSL to indian football pyramid.. Not immediately, but after 5-10 years.. By then, the current clubs would be expected to be in profit, and there may not be much quality difference between ileague 3 and KSL ... Also number of teams in KSL will be increased in The current KPL leagues would come below KSL. Winner of KPL will be promoted to KSL, and bottom of KSL would be relegated to KPL. The same for ileague 3 and KSL.

All other States interested in football should start their own Super Cup so that development of football will grow in every state and we will have talented players for our National Football Team which can qualify for World Cup matches. Will teams let an Indian player play as a striker when they have the option of playing better foreign players? In case fans push for the local strikers, and support the local talents more than the foreigners then only this league will have a lasting impact. But overall, I think this league is a great initiative, because talents will get a chance for sure, and that will develop the whole ecosystem.

@@gauravkumartiwari936 Who knows, In yesterday's match the striker of Malappuram Fc Fasalu Rahman scored a goal (not me 😂). And there are many other leagues in Kerala organized by Kerala Football Association including The Kerala Premiere League , Kerala Senior Football league where young players represent their districts, Sub Junior League, Junior League. The state was active in the Santhosh Trophy and National Games for many years. Unfortunately these couldn't produce much players expected as there only see 2 or 3 Kerala players in the National team. Maybe this league will be a perfect platform for local talents ruined by the Sevens culture in Kerala. It will attract players and make them realize how different it is playing in a professional league. If there is a Talented Indian striker or midfielder who has enthusiasm for this game will definitely get played

It is a mystery to me as a Northeast person why Kerala is not the no. 1 state in Indian football instead of Manipur and Mizoram😅 They have better economy than us, they have huge fanbase and craze, they have more population than any Northeast state.

I can tell you my perspective as a person who grew up in Kerala . It's two things : 1- lack of age group training and good coaches 2- lack of infrastructure. I mean the grounds i grew up playing football (not grass) , have been converted to other things like for property development. Exception is one which is inside the Trivandrum Medical College , where kids still come to play football. The smaller accessible grounds near to home are just not there now . Things are starting to change for the better as far as point no 2 is concerned but point no 2 is getting worse

​@@fishyfish6510it's turf bro it's not even the right size and football culture in kerala is way different sevenes is more popular here and kids don't even get to play in a proper 11 a side size pitch they play in small fields so it's not similar to northeast and we didn't have a proper club in kerala before kerala blasters and like anywhere else though people love they are still hesitant in making kids choose football as profession but it is changing after isl so with the introduction of slk and more clubs coming in within 5 years it will change

@@Shown444 No state league is managed by AIFF. It only needs AIFF approval, which they got. SKL is like ISL model (but at state level). All other leagues should then privatize their State Leagues and include foreigners. Goa, North East, CFL all are in disadvantage because Foreigners were banned in State Leagues. Either do it for all, or for nobody.

@@ricbharAny state can start a league and request to AIFF for the addition of foreign players to their league, but the budget and deposit money of any clubs participating in the league will be huge since that is the requirement of AIFF and FIFA to ensure that the state can afford to pay their salary and transfer fees. For example if a league has 5 crores transaction limit per team for a year the deposit amount for owning a team in that league will be over 20 crores. If other states implement this, how many franchises will be able to purchase a team and make it into success with local sponsorships, advertising and regional ticket, merchandise sales? So it’s more of a financial issue, but I think CFL is also capable of pulling this off. For any other states it’s almost impossible.

Now, I am only saying that either other States also have to start franchise league (to workaround foreigner's ban) OR AIFF needs to allow foreigners in State Leagues so that other states are not at disadvantage.
