Hello everyone! 😊 I'd love to know your thoughts on these ideas. How do we obtain knowledge? Is it by the use of reason or is it based on experience? When can we truly know something? Can we assert that we exist? 😳

Amazing video. It would be great if the background music was a bit lower though

Interesting video! I dont agree with Descartes since he failed in his own terms, as he believed in some god with no justification. Also, the "I exist" implies more than he thinks. You could be a program that follows instructions and they make you think that you exist in a world like this, would he say that you "exist" in that situation? I would think not... I also think the Gettier propositions make no sense. He picks a part of the truth as the proposition instead of the whole truth. I also dont agree with Plato's definition, since he doesnt include this "complete truth" in his definitions, but the propositions made by Gettier are not valid counterexamples. I will be waiting for more videos!! best regards! 😃

Thanks a lot for the comment! 🙂 Interesting takes on Descartes' cogito and the Plato/Gettier discussion, thanks for sharing your thoughts! There's definitely a lot of room for debate, and plenty of philosophers who disagree with each stance. About the Gettier examples, for instance, some think that the 'justifications' of the beliefs are not strong enough. I agree that is not so straightforward to say what a 'justified' belief is, perhaps a belief could be 'reasonable' to have but maybe not truly justified. Regards! 🤗
