Shane. For the sake of your own sanity please don't do Logan. At least not for awhile if ever. Every video I've seen you in since the JP series makes my heart bleed for how drained you are. Don't let other people's desire for tea drive you crazy. Most of the people requesting that content aren't coming from the same place you are when you're deciding to make it. You already seem burnt out and it seems like having a casual conversation or interview or anything on film is difficult for you right now and I just hope that you don't get sucked into all this energy at the expense of your wellbeing.

@Elisa Castro I see it as more tongue in cheek. I don't think it's (entirely) 'you need to think this is scary, so here's a scary noise', but more sarcastic. That's why half the time it will be an over dramatic boom and the other half Shane looking shocked and then bursting out laughing.

Frank Aiden while he’s different for approaching these youtubers and directly asking for “in depth interviews,” he’s nowhere near ready to handle big celebrities like Bieber or West...imagine one of them showed annoyance/anger towards him, Shane doesn’t handle criticism well and he’d just start freaking out. Plus his interviews aren’t that deep...jeffree’s was successful because Jeffree himself decided to use the platform to share his life. Could’ve been done without Shane since all he did was gawk at everything and go “oh my f***ing god”

Shane, please DON’T do the „Mind of Logan Paul” series. He is not worth it. I have had a good feeling about Jake, but Logan is never going to change. He will lie to you just to look good on camera. Take care of yourself and create content with more valuable people than him.
@sarcasticbrit34926 жыл бұрын
Logan denied an interview so I doubt he'll go into a series. I'd also recommend Nerd City's recent video as he called out the lies Jake told in the series in his most recent upload.
@geministargazer98306 жыл бұрын
I agree. I wanna see some follow up videos like Shane’s conspiracy themed makeup with Jeffree and like a new house tour with Jake if he and Erika get their own place without team 10. Some more lighthearted fun ones.
@Kazztastrophe6 жыл бұрын
I completely disagree. I think Logan has been painted a certain way because of Jake's story and Jake's personality, but because of Shane's series and revelations about Jake I have begun following and researching Logan. I think Logan is just as misunderstood as Jake was (they are actually very alike and clearly love each other very much) and Logan very much so has feelings that can be hurt. He has made terrible decisions in the last while (so has Jake) and he has begun learning from them, perhaps not at the rate that the public would have liked but the transition in his content is VISIBLE. He has lost his vlog life love, he is barely posting, and when he does there is a dramatic drop in his energy level and spirit. He is not unaffected by anything he did or participated in. I think people forget both of the Paul brothers are in their very early 20s. I have known so many people that have done VERY similar dumb things without the pressures of the public and money thrown in the mix. I am not a Pauler, I barely knew who they were prior to Shane's announcement, but I would really love Shane to spend time with Logan as well because I think people would be truly shocked to see the truth under the brush strokes he has been painted with. I think Shane would be shocked at the humanity that he would find there.

It's crazy to me how Shane says Jeffree and Jake are just misunderstood in one sentence. Jeffree has NEVER intentonally hurt people on camera and their private life the way Jake has. It amazes me how Shane just chooses to forget and ignore everything Jake has willingly done simply because he was nice to him. Jake knew that Shane is easily deceived and this was his chance to change his image. Why on earth would he behave badly in front of Shane. You don't get to see a persons character when they like you and want something from you but by the way they treat other people (and their fans) over years and years. Shane was so biased by the end of the series that he didn't even get into the big scandals and answered the harder questions before Jake even said a word so Jake just ended up saying "yeah".
@paannadia80646 жыл бұрын
This 👆🏼. I'm not buying the whole Jake is misunderstood shit. He clearly did real awful things that hurt and affect people around him negatively, and he should never comes out with any excuses but he did. On the other hand, all Jeffree ever did was saying mean things to people who hurts him as a defence mechanism. He was hurting badly for so long that he created this wall that makes him seems mean. I really wish Shane could see that and never put them in the same category ever.

Talking to a narcissist most times ends badly and goes nowhere. I know you said you need to talk to them, etc, but both my parents are narcs and this type of personality does not see that they have a problem. In fact they deny it and manipulate you into thinking you are totally wrong about what you are saying and maybe even turn it back on you. They do not think they are doing anything wrong so the convo usually goes nowhere. I've gone very low contact with my family and developed boundaries because they are just toxic people.

As an empathetic person myself, I find I struggle being around large groups of people or in public events for a long amount of time. Like school for me makes me so tired because you can feel so many emotions at once coming at you. I’ve never known how to handle that or block it out.
@FukaiKokoro6 жыл бұрын
S W me too. I was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder because my empathy is out of control, like Isolate myself a lot. I was just assigned to this therapist at this counselling center I go to, she’s amazing as she understands a lot about highly empathetic people. I’m currently learning how to put up a shield to protect myself from being emotionally drained.. there’s videos on KZbin on how to protect yourself from energy vampires. Being empathetic is a blessing and a curse.
@JoeLGough776 жыл бұрын
Hi S W, you are what a real empath is. You can block the assault of emotions by picturing yourself in a bubble or a suit of armor. It'll be hard at first but keep working at it and it'll be easier to be in public.

I have the same issues, I have a hard time switching it off and keeping other people's emotions and thoughts at a distance. My psychiatrist recently told me I could be a “empathic narcissist” or a “covert narcissist” from her interactions with me. I would’ve never classified myself as a narcissist because I’ve always viewed them as grandiose, arrogant, egotistical, always wanting to be the center of attention and I lack all of those traits. What I do know about myself is that I’ve been an empathic person my entire life. I hated it and still do because it is draining and I wish I never was born with a trait like this. I believe several years ago after a traumatizing event I shut down and remained resentful and numb ever since. What I don’t do is take advantage of people or use them for my own personal gain. ALTHOUGH, unfortunately I’ve realized I can mirror all the traits of an overt narcissist but it’s not obvious at all. And I only become like this monster is when someone is taking advantage of me or if I do sense they’re a narcissist I’ll string them along just to make the person miserable. I’ll go along with the gas lighting but I’ll make them suffer in the end and I love doing it in the moment. I know it’s twisted and pathetic... I’m 100% aware of this but it’s not something I’ll take part in often unless I’m emotionally invested or I can’t escape the person (i.e. work). When I did read about the covert/ empathic type I was shocked and disturbed at how I related to almost all of the traits of one. The feeling I get when I’m engaging in this behavior I’m aware that I’m acting out of spite but in the moment I don’t care and literally lack any empathy whatsoever over the person. Unlike overt ones that are outwardly narcissistic... I’m weirdly able to turn mine on and off, which I think they lack.
@emerald58246 жыл бұрын
Sam Mendes if you are in fact a narcissist, most of the people that you think deserve your narcissistic rage don't deserve it, they are probably decent people who just damaged your ego some how.
@jasonchandler27546 жыл бұрын
A covert narcisist isn't an empathic narcissist at all. One of the couple main traits to even be diagnosed as a narcissist is lack of empathy. All a covert narcisist is, is someone who doesnt make it obvious through interaction that they think they're the best. What you're describing sounds like comorbid Npd and bpd but maybe or maybe not enough traits to be diagnosed as either.

This was a mature, educational, and devoted explanation, showing the amazing initiative that you guys have taken to address your fans. I myself am now finishing up my third year as an honors psychology student; that being said, although the series on Jake was captivating and true from psychological standpoints, it was very overdramatized and saturated with severe stigmas on people with sociopathic behaviors. This video is very good for those who don’t understand why Shane’s approach was so intense and scary. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Lol thanks for liking my comment

This video was phenomenal! On a personal note, I completely relate to Shane in so many ways, being filled with empathy and wanting to help, but unfortunately attract narcissists and have trouble setting boundaries. I am getting better at boundary setting now than I was (after going to therapy myself) but I still feel drained by them even when I’m not talking to them. It’s hard not to think about it. Unfortunately these particular individuals won’t seek therapy (I’ve suggested it multiple times), but I’m just trying my best to put my energy into the healthier people I know which are far and few between, but a blessing! Anyway, I think Kati and Shane are amazing! Much love to both of you! ❤️

hey kati. i loved this video. i know this is a really personal topic that not many people talk about but i think it would be amazing if you and shane did a video talking about his bulimia or even did off camera. i 100% understand that this is a VERY personal topic and shane is most likely not open to talking about it on camera but honestly i worry about him. i’ve been a fan of shane since 2008 and i think that there’s a lot that goes on with him that is hard to come to terms with and it’s a never ending struggle. in his book he said he would always use ‘ diarrhea ‘ as an excuse for bulimia and he still says a lot about having to shit all the time. i just worry ya know? it’s a disease that could go unnoticed and if he is ever struggling i want him to feel like people are there for him. i’m not trying to be rude or accuse him of anything i just care about him so much. i’m sorry. ok, much love. ❤️

I'd be interested in that too as I didn't see his diarrhoea that way. Having anxiety I've experienced stomach and digestion issues for long enough (you do want to shit when you get anxious over something) so I figured it was anxiety that did that to Shane in his videos over the past year where he mentions it. I didn't read his books so I didn't consider that as an excuse to binge or anything, and figured he got over the worst of his eating disorder. Some clarity on that would be good.

This is super beneficial, especially for me in my life currently. When I notice myself wanting to hide away with the fear of letting someone down instead of addressing it head-on, I sort of remind myself that my feelings are valid and should be communicated, even if it may be awkward. I also like how you touched on getting rid of toxic people at 16:18, and focusing on using _"I"_ statements is so huge. It's instrumental when wanting to avoid placing blame and can be a key component in addressing people with toxic traits or narcissistic tendencies. Because when you say things like _"you did this! you make me feel bad because.."_ it really creates a different tone than saying _"I feel this way because.."_ and so on.

My counselor was trying so hard to help all of his patients. He would exhaust himself trying to help. He told me I was an empath. I know I wasn't so much an empath with people when i was a kid. But I was with animals. I became much more empathetic after having a major surgery and going through and losing so much. I looked around where ever I went and I noticed people that were sad or tired, who were kind, Hard working, old, ect. I just see people's souls. It is hard sometimes to be like I am. I shut down a lot lately to be able to deal. Thankyou for your videos.
