I could write a long trading story here from 4 years. After quitting ICT setups, after quitting all lower TF, after setting alerts….. I am profitable, 4h trendline breakout, futures trading, oil platinum gold and US500!! That’s it!!!! I had mental problems not sitting in front of the charts and analyse. It was hard for weeks. I thought it’s not possible. Why wait for a setup instead of search for a setup. Alarm rings. I check my phone. If it’s clear I trade. If not, I wait for my next alarm. Since 2 months profitable, 1 red week. No crazy gains. But from 2700€ to 3842€ today. In 6 weeks. Good risk management. Less trades. That was the key to my trading. It’s hard to unlearn things. Or to let go, if it „ dictates“ live for so long. Now I am about to get my first challenge done. Patience was the key.

Trading is simple but not easy because you are your own worst enemy and everyday is you battling yourself. Greed, fear, not being locked into a bias so that you keep trying to trade in the opposite direction the market is actually going today. You have to stay calm and present in the moment and wait until your setup comes to you and makes itself known, and you must have control of yourself when you lose and stop and reset your mind to once again wait for your setup. Find a setup that you like, that you can see, and only enter when that setup happens. Don’t let the market being on the move entice you to jump in. Wait for your setup!

My issue is solely mindset and patience. I do great, until I don't.

Focus on building a process/routine that will allow you go to through a series of steps before analysing, executing, managing & exiting to ensure you're applying the correct amount of patience you need. Pre trade checklists, journaling etc. This can act as "training wheels" to make sure you're doing the right things as your mindset and confidence develop into letting you apply that patience correctly.

Check out some of my previous videos on routine and processes. That will help you stay within the realms of your strategy and identify your mistakes. It’ll act essentially as a bandaid to your lack of patience, for now. Until you’re able to figure out apply to apply your focus within the realm of patience. 🙏🏼 data is king!
