A cloth tape measure would be more accurate. Hobby Lobby or a Fabric/Sewing Machine Store carries them. I have one that is 40 inches in a retractable holder in my toolbox.

Keep a cloth/seamstress tape measure thread it in the belts path and count the ribs and give the info to parts person, and there should be 2 measurements one no adjustment and the other maxed out split the difference and that should give the right size even with some stretch in the fudge factor.

That pan is a Holley 302-1 knockoff they make trapdoor baffles for it. Got the same pan. I like it better than F-body due to rear sump. Got baffle on eBay as well. Never had an oil pressure issue.

Instead of running the baffle system you can run an accumulator. It will help if the engine oil pressure drops below a certain amount it’ll push oil directly into the engine saving it from grenading
