Introducing balance by the amount of clay you have, with stronger monsters using up more clay, is probably one of the most price-worthy pieces of game design I've seen in a while. You can even play an odds match (against kids or newer players) by not using all your clay or giving them more clay. Ingenious!

The original play-doh fantasy game was called clay-o-rama, made by Ask Agger and released by “Modtryk”, in Denmark.... was in the mid 90’s. Great game.

Eyyyy i did this in highschool for when we had to design a board game based off the Odyssey! I used it for one section rules light and it was just for molding the suitors and it was just stabbing and shooting little bows at arrows at playdough to relieve stress after 3 minutes of my bullshit minigames

Every wargame should be like this or have some sort of innovation to make it more interactive, I saw one in development where each model could move with springs and such and shoot projectiles or swing weapons. SUPER COOL!

This looks great, and can be played forever, and sold on to others with kids when yours grow. All you ever need to buy is a few cans of play doh. I remember in the 80s or early 90s I had a board game where you played as bugs, and if you died your play doh bugs got smashed with a plastic hand that left a goo spot of play doh. This reminded me of it

I've been playing with my kids (6 &8) for over a month now. It takes us less than 45 mins for a game. The "spell clay" is fine. We haven't had any dry out beyond use yet. If it does, you can get more at Dollar tree for .25 a can. I figure that if you figure it like paint, green stuff, or glue it's still waaaay cheaper and worth the cost.

im going to be honest with you. I am 47. and while this exact game wasnt around when I was a child. there was a game, or rather just a set of rules, that was a war game with playdoh. if you had a life steal ability, you litterally took some playdoh off your opponent and added it to you. so this idea isnt exactly new, and it likely was around when you were a kid.
