Hypno is the very first Minecraft player I ever watched on YT back in 2015... I think you could skirt around his "objection" to the bridge in his backyard by extending a bridge OVER his house and having it end somewhere in his front yard instead. I don't recall him objecting to a bridge in his front yard or over his roof. Technicalities matter.

I second the glowing pumpkins covered with moss idea…no smoke particles from torches, that way, and spawn has fields of pumpkins. Bridge alternative: tunnel under the river a la the Chunnel. Would be fun to make it look like a medieval arched cobble walled tunnel…mossy cobble liberally mixed in, strategically thin roofing for real water drips, random waterlogged stairs in the floor, vines around the entrances….❤

Yay, Wels is part of "The Neighbourhod". The contrast between him with his subtle smile in his voice and someone like Cleo giggeling away makes a lot of the interaction even more enjoyable and funny. Is it just me waiting for him to crack, or are there more people? I can't wait to see more.

I really love that this season everyone is building near a handful of other people, and working on projects together. It runs counter to the idea of being a hermit, but it's perfectly in line with being a Hermit.

This bridge dilemma reminded me of the Oresund bridge that connects Sweden and Denmark, one part of the bridge is a normal bridge, but halfways it turns into a tunnel and goes underwater; maybe you could do somenthing of the sort, and it would come out past Hypno's property, and closer to the neighborhood, if he doesnt have any farms under his house XD

So far this season, I like that you and a lot of the hermits aren't really planning out your builds (in like a creative world) and just building on the server and seeing if you like it or not. I've watched Etho pretty much since he started releasing his let's play and that is my favorite part about his videos. He just brings you along for his builds or redstone and gives you his insight into what he is thinking and how he plans to approach it. Inspires me for my own builds in my server, gives me new ideas and different ways to look at things.

WELS - Others have probably mentioned it in the comments, but the bridge is not symmetrical - it's one block off on the mainland side (where the top starts to curve). Both sides. Loving the neighbourhood interactions though! It's nice to see so many Hermits close together doing a community project for the surrounding area 🤗

Definitely go for the diagonal bridge towards the spawn village. You should be able to rope in Beef and False to help you build it. Then the road can roll along the side of the village towards the Neighbourhood, which is pretty much the shortest route anyway. And it gets very close to spawn so it's easy to get back to base should you not have a spawn location set.

Welcome to The “Neighbourhood”, Wels!! Ministry of Light is a sweet gig. I wonder what Ren will put in your Ministerial Hat? I can’t tell you how amazing it is to see all of you around together. The “Neighbourhood” has real Hermitcraftian vibes. It feels like season 4 and 6, my favorite seasons. I personally feel as if HC has lost its way a bit (though I’m obviously in the minority) and there’s just something about all the OG Hermits hanging out and laughing together that makes me smile! I love how salty you are about the bridge. I think you could make a diagonal bridge and have it look good. I know Bdubs has made a few diagonal bridges in his day and most recently in his LP Building With Bdubs last year. If you wanted some advice, that could be a cool little collab. :)

I sorely, desperately want someone to animate 17:30 to 17:40, where they're just talking about the map. Don't worry about counting blocks when doing the initial layout as long as you start with a full stack. Just do a little math with the remaining blocks or run a consistent pattern that you can count afterwords. (personally I built a pattern of a light source every 6th block a long time ago, every 3rd row but adjusted by 3. Night looks like day at ground level)
