According to Jefferson, “government is a necessary evil.” I agree! The more powerful the government is, the less powerful the people are. Government was designed to protect our God-given rights, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be used to take them.

Great video my friend! A few things to add its cheap and can be extremely useful. 1. Swap out boot laces For atleast 550 or better para cord longer incase you need it. 2. Throw some bigger sized zip ties in with your pack! It really helps if you want to control situations w/o termination. 3. Always carry a knife or some type of utility tool! I am sure you have one but I did not hear it mentioned. :) The list can go on and on but those can be very helpful if needed. And small.

I think that attributing any peace or safety to the police disregards fact. First, the police are not a constitutional body, and were not created for the role of law enforcement. Second, police have no obligation to protect you, but are there to protect the state from you. Third, the fact that we give any credence to a tool of the state is disparaging to the proper role of law enforcement, which belongs solely to the Militia. See Article 1, Section 8, and the various state Militia Acts. Fourth, police did not come into existence until the mid-1800's, long after the Constitution and the state Militia Acts. If we took an honest look at society and understood what was written into the Dick Act creating the NG as a separate entity having nothing to do with the Militia, we would see that we've had nothing but a steady increase in crime, and abuse by the federal government.

Your absolutely right about keeping guns clean. A friend showed me their gun for home defense and it looked like it had been buried in the dirt for a few years. It was packed with residue and lots of rust pitting. So when I racked the slide, it would not feed the bullet. And this was the gun they would try to defend themselves with. It was really better suited as a paper weight.

Great advice you should clean your carry pistol at least once every one to two weeks. I'm a heavy duty fleet mechanic and you wouldn't believe how much dust, dirt and grime gets under my clothes and finds it's way my ccw. After my first year of daily carry I switched from a G19 to a Sig P938 for the hotter summer months when I was dressing lighter and I went about a month without cleaning it and when I finally got around to it the slide was locked shut. Had to find a safe spot in my yard hold the slide with my left hand and slam the grip with the web of my right to get it open and get the round out. After that I now clean it and my other ccws weekly.

The way I see the "Minuteman" role...... In a rule of law (ROL) the police are the "Minuteman". They respond to emergency situations and provide security services in a reasonable time frame. When the police are overwhelmed or unavailable due to being over extended, unable to respond due to a developing emergency/crisis/ or disaster...... That's when the civilian "Minuteman" steps up and takes care of his/her own family, neighborhood, or immediate area such as work place, shopping center, place of business/education. This is why if you are going to maintain the "Minuteman" Civilian Sheepdog mentality...... You just always be ready to respond. That means having the things you need accessible to you. I. Your vehical, at your place of business, at your house. That's why buying low cost, durable, yet effective equipment is paramount. My AR15 is a Palmetto State Armory M4 style. It has a Primary Arms 30mm Advanced Red Dot (Comparable to Aimpoint ACO), a Streamlight Rail Mount 1 Scout light, rear flip up sight and a simple 2 point sling. This stays at my house in the safe but is always ready to grab. In my Vehical, I keep a Palmetto State Armory AR9 pistol(Glock mag) which has a Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot (comparable to Aimpoint T1 micro) a Streamlight Rail Mount 1, flip up Magpul MBUS sights, a simple 2 point sling. This gets transported to and from my truck and is usually kept behind my rear seat. Since this is a pistol AR it is covered under my states CPL license hence it stays loaded and ready for action. I have my belt system. This has a holster for my fullsize Glock 17 with a Streamlight TLR-1 HL. A Blue Force Gear Ten Speed double mag pouch for spare pistol mags, and 2 Ten Speed rifle mag pouches for AR15 mags or I can fit 2 - 33 round Glock stick mags into each one. A Fat Boy Trama Kit from ITS Tactical. And a 3rd Ten Speed AR mag pouch for my Ham Radio. Then there is my slick plate carriers from Warrior Assault Systems. I have 2. Both use AR500 Armor light weight lvl III rifle plates with trauma pads inserted behind them. These plate Carriers have an elastic cummerbund which can hold 2 AR mags on each side. I use 2 of them for AR mags and the other 2 I use for additional medical supplies. The belt and plate carrier are dawned together and if need be can be split up. Then there is my get home bag. I just use a 5.11 12 hour RUSH pack. And I keep the bag as light as possible but stocked with the things I will immediately need with in a 12-24 hour period. Usually the pack weight around 20 lbs with out water. My edc is always with me. I run a glock 19 with a TLR-7 weapon light. In a T-Rex Arms Sidecar holster in the appendix position with a Glock 17 magazine as a reload. I carry 2 Spyderco Delica "wave" pocket knives one on each pocket. 1 of them is a serrated version one is a plain edge. A Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA light on my left pocket, a Swat-T tourniquet with QuickClot combat gauze rubberbanded together in my left back pocket, and a Gerber Dime attached to my keys. The belt and the plate carrier stay in my truck behind my back seat. And the AR Pistol and my Rush 12 pack come and go to and from my vehicle and my house. The Glock 17 stays in my Rush 12 pack with a rubber trigger stop which makes pulling the trigger impossible with out removing it. When the pack is kept in my truck I keep under a black sheet to conceal it from view. This system is something I have been adding and subtracting from. Perfecting and improving as time goes on and new products become available. We cannot not respond if we are not prepared. And we cannot be prepared with out training and pushing through our weaknesses and finding our strengths. Stay strong. Stay vigilant. Stay safe!

You have the option to take the chance, nothing more. I have an FAC (and for which the Police make you jump through hoops to get one), but if I were to use a gun against multiple assailants who were trying to invade my home, I'D be the one under cosh for excess violence. (From the horse's mouth).

Thank you for posting! I've been looking for a place to take a fighting pistol course, turns out I only live 20 minutes away from the SC gun school

For those who say that he is being paranoid: I live in Malaysia where it is almost impossible to legally obtain a firearm and we have no threats of all out war with any country, yet shootings occur as well as terrorist attacks on public areas. A hitman can be hired for $1000 and machete attacks in neighborhoods are a weekly occurrence. I rather be prepared than be ignorant and helpless.
