Well, this certainly shows to what extent people generally don't realize how much of guitar work is done even in those less rocky songs of Queen and how clever these guitar lines are. The same applies to bass btw. Great work sir.

That's the genius of Brian May, who managed to create these sounds almoust 35 years ago.

Freddie once said he would have loved to record some Queen material with an orchestra, but then added - but Brian is replacing the whole orchestra with his guitar. And it's true! He used to write his guitar licks as a kind of orchestral partiture, looking for ornamentation, counterpoints, extra harmonies with vocals and other instruments. Really clever if you think it was just popular music and they were not professionally trained musicians.

Great playing! This is probably like sleeping compared to crazy key changes on bohemian rhapsody. Nonstop. The bass and guitar tone ‘ignite’ in unison. For most part. Good solos on this! I’m surprised even though Brian may plays these crazy changes on bohemian rhapsody. Still orchestrated and structured parts put together in studio. His lead guitar solos playing is different. Although Brian was shredding acoustic on one album (I don’t know all queens albums) From 1976, it might be after ‘night in the opera? I don’t this any rock guitarist was doing Al de meola in 1976. I’m sure maybe some of underground bands might have. Pete townsand plays acoustic in ‘who are you’ middle section ( background fast acoustic playing). but its more or less picking single notes fast ‘tremolo picking?

Brilliant Frank. What a great deconstruction of Brian’s parts on the song - beautifully played PS what you think of the song? For me it’s the one Queen “epic” which does hold together thematically 😢

Great job 👏 ! However, to my ear that last rockin’ solo seemed to be off just a tad bit. Not so much the notes but it sounded a little out of tune. Your playing and technique overall is excellent though
@FrankCampese2 жыл бұрын
You mean the tapping part or the whole part? The guitar is tuned correctly... But as u know queen sometimes record their songs in strange tunings... (for example im going mad playing Khassoggys ship cause is out of tune....) thanks for your comment i will check! ❤️

@@FrankCampeseI think you'll get some trouble with performing "Gimme the price" and "Princes of the universe", bcz Brian played another guitar while recording them.
