The Icon of Mother of Perpetual Help as explained in the video is not "worshipped" as a "god" rather it is A Holy Sacramental Which represents a Prototype, therefore the veneration of icons is not made to the image itself but to the person depicted in the icon... The icon as well as Crucifix and other Holy Sacramentals or images used in the Catholic Church, serve as "sacred objects" used as instruments of prayer... So the prayer is not directed to the image itself but to whom the image talks about...

The Catholic Church believes in the Intercession of Mother Mary and the "proper" use of Sacramentals, therefore the veneration of icons, such as touching, kissing, bowing or even praying before them "DOES NOT GO AGAINST THE FIRST COMMANDMENT....
