There are different layers of reality. There are different aspects of Karma and collective Karma. The point of this video is that your intentions and desires have an important role to play. This does'nt mean only what you desire will happen.

You re that conciousness but you re limited by your mind....so you cant know exactly sometimes how maya deluded you... But god is the ocean/infinite mind in which your mind is a drop/subset...he is the all knowing conciousness(future past)...so although the primary function of the mind is to create maya/illusions,but god's infinite knowledge does not let him get deluded... God's infinite mind or maya itself is the one which reveals itsillusory nature... So trust god its the best we can do...its not like whatever you want will happen exactly

Yess...there is a way which Gyan marg...Gyan yog is way to attain moksha through understanding and knowledge of self...but to understand and comprehend that knowledge your mind must be pure...and for that purification meditation may help...bhakti and naam japa can also help you for chitt shuddhi..
