The people were wise to defend themselves. Uninvited evangelism to recruit more followers to make you and your friends feel more secure in your specific version of mythology is not courageous. He received 13 different vaccines, including those for measles, mumps, rubella, polio, hepatitis A and B, typhoid, yellow fever, and cholera. Quarantining himself for a period of time before approaching the island. This was to reduce the risk of carrying any contagious diseases.
