i think this depends heavily on how far away she was, how quiet it was around them, ect. she very well could have had enough hearing for the conversation! most people who are deafblind aren't completely deaf and completely blind, but when you're already missing one of those senses it becomes all the more impactful to lose even part of the other... not to say that the authors thought of that though, considering their track record, but it isn't impossible

I love Warriors with all my heart but god I hate it so much, the inconsistencies and the mistakes, the lack of care moving forward, odd rules creating convoluted storylines that are often reused later on, the bloody incest. I understand that Warriors wasn't meant to be what it is today when it began, but it's been 18 years, you think that at some point they would have sat down, gathered all of the info they needed, and created a reference book or document or whatever, and used that to avoid all of these things in the future, announce that the books moving forward are of a higher level of cannon and correct any previous mistakes through reference like an elder telling a story, or a kit explaining their heritage. Weirdness may still be present at first but the more time that passes you can root out all the problems. I guess I'm just sad that something so close to me has been handled in such a careless manner. For a long time the first series was all I knew, and as a Kid I could accept it flaws and all, but there are like 90 books now, not just 6, you think that somewhere along the lines they would've realized that this was a fixable problem. I hope that they do better moving forward, I hope that one day Warriors will be a well refined series, but to be honest the only feeling I have for the books now is dissapointment, even if the world still engrosses me as much as it did when I was in like 3rd grade reading Into the Wild. The fanbase can burn me at the stake for saying this, I don't care, but I think there is a problem when you acknowledge that you've made mistakes and fail to learn from them. In my genuine and honest opinion these books are not good books, and it breaks my heart because I want them to be anything but.

I found some other mistakes on my own in the Warriors books that haven't been listed on the Wiki such as: Icecloud not being listed in the allegiances of Dovewing's Silence despite the fact that she was alive during the entire novella, Graystripe being listed as the deputy of ThunderClan in Leafpool's Wish even though he had been MIA in ThunderClan ever since Dawn, Harrybrook being spelled in small letters in the allegiances of Tawnypelt's Clan, and SkyClan's Clan symbol being listed on the map of the newly released edition of Bramblestar's Storm despite them not traveling to reunite with the other clans at the lake yet.

One of the mistakes that really had me go "Wow. How did you get that! wrong?", is when, during one of the Powers of Three books, Firestar is said to have yellow/amber eyes. Firestar. The original main character. The! character with the most importance in the whole series. The cat the plot focuses on constantly throughout each arc. The cat that had a very important/respectable role that made it so that he couldn't become like a regular background character in the books where his kids/grandkids takes the front stage. And they forgot that he has green eyes.

Honestly I feel like a couple other mistakes in the Warriors series should be really popular since they are SO frequent. These two in particular: 1. Blackstar being listed as having only ONE jet black forepaw, and 2. Foxheart being called a tom and being called Foxhear in the allegiances of the old version of Bluestar's Prophecy.

I like to think that the reason why graystripe thinks mistystar and stonefur are his kits is because he’s so old and forgets that stormfur exists and feathertail used to exist. that and they’re the only other thunder/river cats that have been mentioned recently

I had to smile when you admitted discomfort in front of a camera. I am the same way! I find myself sometimes wishing that I could have read these books as a child, but they weren't written then, so oh well. I still really enjoy them on the whole. I do notice that there are some books that I am uncomfortable reading a second time. When I read a book for the first time, I go through it pretty fast. Then I will read it again which allows me to focus on detail rather than where it is going. After that, I will reread just for pleasure. I must admit that what fur color, pattern, or eye color has been unimportant in the overall scheme of things to me. I count on people like you to find these flaws. Thank you!

I've sort of made my own version of the battle for sunningrocks in Redtail's Dept, but I haven't actually written it down. Redtail strikes oakhearts throat, but not hard enough to kill him, and knocks him back. Then, Oakheart almost pounces on redtail, but right before that the rocks fall on him and he dies.

I also noticed in (I think it was secrets of the clans?) Squirrelflight’s guide to a warriors vigil is set in the forest camp, when she was made a warrior after the great journey.

I thought I was going crazy when I read Graystripe’s line in Bramblestar’s Storm! I hadn’t read the main books and thought that I was just mistaken. RowanClaw’s gender was also a weird moment for me. Thought that RowanClaw and TawnyPelt were GalPals until I paid a little bit more attention and read that RowanClaw was a he, but the weirdest part about this was that I just made up the idea that RowanClaw was always a he and that the she-cat RowanClaw was RowanClaw’s GRANDMOTHER and that he was just named after her. I have NO idea where I got that from!

So, I write a ton of warriors fanfics...well, I guess they're fan stories, since I turn my own characters into cats, or turn existing characters like the members of Team Star from the new Pokémon games into cats. But if I write anything warriors, I set up a separate Word document with their descriptions on it, and have it pulled up so that when I describe cats, I don't make as many mistakes as what's in the Canon stories. I also have a favorite cat pelt, because I've wanted one since reading about Feathertail, and even stole her name and coat pattern to use in my stories (my Feathertail is a tom who winds up nearly becoming leader of WindClan). I never got my blue-eyed silver tabby, but if I ever find one, you can bet its name will be Feathertail. XD Anyway, separate documents, Erins. It's that simple.

Just check Leopardstar's Honour's allegiances. You'll see a mistake in every single Clan For example Grasswhisker is alive even though her mother Sunfish was a kit becoming an apprentice. Patchpelt appears two times. Boukder is listed even though Russetfur isn't. Whitestorm is listed twice, once as a warrior, once as Snowfur's kit, though his father Thistleclaw is still an apprentice. He shouldn't be born, yet even being a warrior. Shrewclaw in WindClan was alive while Deadpaw was Talltail's apprentice, despite having died in Tallstar's Revenge before Talltail even got Deadpaw as an apprentice.

32:37 As a Harry Potter fan (fuck the author btw), I never understood the complaint since the actual reason why that Daniel Radcliffe (who is the actor who played Harry Potter in the movies) have blue eyes (which is his natural eye color I think) instead of green was because that he did try to wear colored contacts to make his eyes looked green like in the books but unfortunately from my understanding that he reacted poorly so the only thing they could of done was find an actress who had similar eye colors to play his mom in the movie. (Which is Geraldine Somerville who played Lily Potter)

I personally don't get to upset by the inconsistencies honestly. Warriors has an entire team of people working on these books, along with so many characters and storylines, it's no surprise things get mixed up. Warriors biggest problem is that it spawned a huge Fandom, which has many older individuals in it, that can easily point out the flaws with everything. The Erin's wrote these books for children to read about kitty cats in the woods, not for teenagers and adults to create an entire community dedicated to all things warriors.

A simple spreadsheet or document is all that is needed to keep character appearances, deaths, family relations, genders, plot points, etc. in check. And another read through the books before publishing would’ve gotten rid of the more minor grammatical errors. Children notice these mistakes too. The fandom pointing these things out is not a problem at all. It natural for fans to notice mistakes like this, young and old. It’s pretty sad tbh that a franchise this huge can’t even keep track of its own canon when it has a huge team of people working on it. Do they not communicate?

That is either laziness or poor quality of their craft, not oh we have multiple writers. It is about them NOT communicating when they should.

@@QuirkOverhaul they did basically cause the newer one directly contradicted a main story point. This is why doing quality work even on a fiction book is important. Otherwise don't make it a series - if want to write fully separate books then say so.
