Yeah, how in the hell are obsessive uses of technology comparable to wanting to immortalize moments with your family? The dad's frustration was made pretty obvious in the trailer, he's upset that she spends more time on her phone rather than enjoying the moment. The difference is using technology as a way to enhance and improve the time spent with your family, and using it instead of doing the aforementioned bonding. I.e. technology in moderation.

Indeed, while I may not be a fan of the Hotel Transylvania series, I appreciate that they go with a more fluid and taking chances in the cartoony nature of the animation, same as Cloudy which I enjoyed, Smurfs: Lost Village, which I think I enjoyed it better than most people, Spider-Verse, which I obviously loved, and Surf's Up which surprisingly enough, I still enjoy and love to this day, they've definitely taken the criticisms they've got before, and are adjusting themselves in a better direction

I think this movie is pretty interesting and relatable at the times. The story is about a suburban family goes on a road trip to experience something more in life than relying on technology. Even if it's 2020, don't get me wrong, I never had a phone before but when i got it now, I just feel boring with it since i was raised without one and always wanted to talk with my friends a lot when they had phones, I thought i was nothing special, "just a little level 1 noob ". It's kind of annoying how nobody realizes that it's all connected. The dad is an obnoxious boomer that can't accept change, so he forces his family to go on a road trip, then the robots come and they have to use technology or some shit to fight them. The whole movie is about accepting that technology is a part of everyone's lives now and we can't just put it aside because it was different 30 years ago.
