​@@whatta7793those are click bait prices, give them a call, it will have at least 5k markup, plus some BS paint protection tag of usually 1k. I know, I spent two weeks with a CarGurus nationwide Golf R search. I finally scored one 500 dollars less than MSRP, had to drive six hrs to get it.

Hi I stumbled upon your channel. I have a 20th anniversary Golf R in white. Love the thing. It is a beast. I’m a member of the Mk8 GTI/R forum and that car you have on video is actually one of the last models of the 2022 year models that was probably delivered at the beginning of 2023. I would recommend skipping that car due to the many electrical gremlins it has. If you really want the car, get a used 2023 model at a later date. The way to differentiate them is by the center console where the gear lever is. The surrounding area is covered in piano gloss plastic and the steering wheel has a flushed VW logo. That is the real 2023 model and has ironed out most of the issues.

This is true! I had Mk8 2022 GTI it was plagued with issues. I traded in for 20th R 2023 and no issues! I did end up swapping the Piano black to flat just cause it looks cleaner in my eyes.

Oh for sure it looks cleaner! Too much gloss black gets dirty and it’s a nag to wipe it down all the time.
