I hate power sliding seats. My wife is 5' and I'm 6'2". Anytime we switch vehicles, I have to stand outside the door and wait for the power sliding seat to move all the way back. Hopefully the function never fails. Takes half a second with the manual pull lever.

Auto felt quicker but it also had a tune on it... which is the main reason I didn't bring it up in the video. That, and there was about a 20C temperature difference between the days. 2nd gear was barely hooking up in this 6-speed car. Made for some great and scary moments though haha

To me as soon as the Veloster N came around, the GTI lost any of the "boy racer" vibes it had left, if any. As far as the Mazda 3 hatch with a manual, I would not consider it a "hot" hatch. The turbo model is automatic only, and the N/A + manual only makes 186hp. Far from "hot." Great car but..

I love manual but I can't ever buy a car that's better in DSG then it is a manual also i love the DSG farts and vrrrphaa sounds that the DSG gives via it's ignition cut between gears no hate on manual owners , but the only manual GTI's i would buy is the MK1 to MK4 GTI the DSG gearboxes just elevated the car in so many ways , if i want a manual i would go for older cars that only came in manual like Honda Type R's and Ford Focus ST and RS cars they chose to stay manual so i would go for them instead of buying a new car that's manual

Imagine buying an auto over a manual in your performance car
@KingChadKennedy
@KingChadKennedy Жыл бұрын
@@j.a.g.8689 the fact of the matter is if you want more performance more often then not if the car is offered with a DSG or PDK or DCT or whatever it's better then the manual option , the only reason people like manuals is because of the cult following behind it and the fact that it was there before automatics , also it's fine to get manuals when it's a car brand that specialises with engagement like for instance , a manual Porsche GT3 or GT3RS or 911 that's manual , like Honda Civic Type R's , the Ford Focus ST and RS , the Ford Mustang , every BMW up untill the E46 M3 , all these cars that are better in manual is better in manual because more often then not the only auto for it was a garbage automatic or cvt or smg that was clunky or it didn't have a auto option at all , i would buy myself every Manual Golf up untill the MK4 , but MK5 up when the DSG was introduced you better recognise I'm going to get the DSG , don't get me wrong manuals is cool especially when you manual swap a car that never got a manual option not if it had a factory manual option and the auto was more popular and was better , like for instance a Manual Lamborghini Aventador would be crazy in gated manual form , the new Audi RS3's would be cool a Lamborghini Hurucan in manual new Audi R8 in manual that would be cool

Manual Golf R or GR Corolla is a much better option. With any FWD hot hatch you get horrible wheel hop, I know because I personally own a Veloster N, great car but with fwd it can't put the power down. AWD cars don't have this problem. I currently have deposits down for both the GR Corolla and 2023 Golf R. Will buy whichever car becomes available to me first. If your in the market for a sporty manual transmission car get either awd or rwd. fwd cars suck at getting the power down and generally have pretty bad understeer.
@therues7071
@therues7071 Жыл бұрын
My buddy has a Veloster N and I had never experianced wheel hop until i drove his car. It felt like the front wheels were going to rip out of the car, scared the crap out of me lol. Weirdly enough I have not experienced this issue in my MK8 GTI. Don't get me wrong I still spin but not nearly as much wheel hop as the N tho. Your going to love the Golf R (if you can ever get one that is)
@dougmaverick3287
@dougmaverick3287 Жыл бұрын
@@therues7071 The problem with the GTI is the same with all fwd cars, the front wheels are being asked to do too much, drive and steer. I owned a MK7 GTI so I know what I'm talking about. It didn't have the violent wheel hop of my Veloster N, but it did have bad understeer which really sucked when I was driving spiritedly. AWD is best for putting power down, and the many Golf R's I test drove were amazing. No wheel spin, no wheel hop on heavy acceleration, just strong forward momentum with no understeer in the corners as well. I'm really looking forward to getting either the golf r or gr Corolla.
