Great episode Ron. Wowee it was cold here today. Frozen tarps n trailers for this cowboy. Machine gun looks great. Take care, stay warm. And see you tomorrow.

Hi Ron! Cool episode, wonderfully filmed. Both me and my dog, Fix the smooth Collie were watching in Stockholm. Btw, your sunrise showed a lovely reflective halo phenomenon to the left. Pretty!

A friend of mine who was a submariner on the Oberon Class submarines in the Royal Australian Navy told me the worst part was when they surfaced, quite often they’d find sea snakes in all the nooks and crannies around the deck. 😊

Sea snakes? Wow, I didn't think about that. 😲

Thinking of your dog Mark and Smooth Collie, Fix

Hi Marc and Maureen, Oh my goodness! You have a real sad time coming up. Max has often said a dog will give you years of joy, and then suddenly one really bad day. I guess your bad day is just around the corner. I know what it is to lose a dog. My dog accidentally got ran over. It was in the summertime. She had laid down under a car to get into the shade and she had a bit of a hearing problem. I guess she didn't hear that somebody got in the car and drove over her. She died very shortly thereafter. It was extra sad because she was heavy with puppies. Well, that's the way it goes. It took about three hours before the realization of it all to settled in. I just cried like a baby . Anyway, all the best with what you're about to have to go through. We'll be thinking of you folks. Let us know how it goes. Thanks for sharing. 😟

I don't believe they were trying to catch the shell casings for recycling (didn't seem to apply to the land forces or the Luftwaffe who used far more and larger calibre ammunition than U-Boats), more likely they didn't want a load of small calibre shell cases falling into the drainage apertures on the submarines outer casing.
