Great idea to use the hull and the vanes as a jig for that fiddly part. And many bonus points for straightening out the bent support. 👏

Hi Dan, I had a little bit too much heat on the heat gun. I should've had it set one notch lower. Thanks for commenting again. And yes, we'll see you tomorrow. 👍

Ron, back breakfast viewing 😂 great video. I was worried for a short period on the bending when it started to bend more but you noticed it 😂 you had holder downer incident, was it a knockoff version 😂😂😂 Happy everything Ron

I was a little anxious when you were using the heat gun to soften the plastic but all came out well. As a tip I have found dunking the part in boiling water is just enough to soften styrene.

Hi Ron, interesting work with that heat gun. Makes me wonder if there are people out there that change models into completely different models

Hi Ron, before you put the heat to the bent part, I would find where it goes and do a test fit first!

"..........your non metric friend." LOL!!! Hard to believe they still have Max's car at the dealership. I'd be fit to be tied by now. They should at least offer him a donor. See ya. JimE

Hi Jim, Yes, this situation with this Subaru is very disappointing, that's for sure. I hope that if I have a problem with my Subaru that they don't have to bring the part in from Japan. It must be a very unusual part that has gone on his car. Something that I guess doesn't happen very often and nobody stocks it. Either that or they're hoping he'll just buy a new car from them.

@@roncalverley "...... hoping he'll just buy a new car from them." OH, I'm sure I would!! Still no excuse for not giving him a loner for car for a Subaru problem. He's lucky he and wife don't each have to get to work at every morning.
