One suggestion: You could use the Page/Fill-Button to give the beat a quick change instead of muting the bassdrum. For example you could make a trig with FILL for a snare and the bassdrum to get a quick variation. :) And the beat still goes straight on and on Hm-Tss Hm-Tss :)
@BIG_PASTA2 жыл бұрын
Very late here but what do you mean exactly? Wouldn't using page/fill just extend and copy the current pattern? I've been exploring my Cycles recently and I'm just trying to figure out what you mean :) Thanks!
@mosonic2 жыл бұрын
@@BIG_PASTA 9.12.5 FILL MODE FILL mode is a trig condition that can be used to create a temporary variation, such as a drum fill, in your pattern. You activate FILL mode at any time, and for any duration, by pressing and holding the [PAGE] key when the pattern is playing (GRID RECORDING mode cannot be active). The FILL mode is active for as long as the you hold the key. Press [TRACK] + [PAGE] to latch FILL mode The [PAGE] key flashes when you are in FILL mode. sick perfomance dude! any idea how many patterns can you save? i mean, is the approx. 15 min of perfomancy is maximum of these units?
@EhsanGelsi4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No way, you can definitely perform a lot longer than 15 minutes, that's just all I mustered! It stores 6 banks of 16 patterns. To put that in context, I used 16 patterns here, but really flew through them. In a live or recording context those 16 patterns would last longer than this video. 64 patterns can go for about 45 mins to an hour typically for me when making a vid - so at minimum the Models would let me play an hour and fifteen to an hour and half per project - but could easily stretch that to 2 hours by just taking my time and extending arrangements. Bear in mind it can store 96 projects too - so that's 96 different hour to 2 hour sets. It'll hold a LOT of stuff, and good luck filling it! :)

@RobinParmar4 жыл бұрын
@@knobsbuttons2632 I don't own it! What I have is an Octatrack, which is simply too complicated (and also limited) to be useful. At that point I would rather use a computer. So I figure if I sell the Octatrack, what can I replace it with? The Models line is intriguing because these devices are more like instruments, designed to a specific purpose. So It's all down to whether you like the sounds and workflow and features. Personally I love FM sounds, but already have two FM synths. I am not sure I would want to use the Model: Cycles exclusively for drums... there are drum timbres I would miss. One solution would be to get a Model Samples and load it up with FM sounds as well. But this approach misses out on the live sound-shaping possibilities of the Model: Cycles. Or do like the OP and buy both!
