Beautiful and practical. I have two tips. Wool mat does not dissipate heat from the laptop, it is easy to overheat the equipment. Magnetic organizers are not suitable for holding memory sticks in them. Magnets can ruin the drive.

At first I thought there's no way you can know what she needs unless she's a part of the process but I stand corrected. I felt like you read my mind and crated no only her dream office but mine. It was thoughtfully designed and the most important part was you allowed space for her to be messy and creative. But in an organized mess kind of way. The catch all spots got me because I definitely need those. ❤ Loved Loved Loved this.

Fantastic work! Glad you were able to do this for your wife. It's important being about to not just work comfortably, but also have a space like this to enjoy. You've also got really good, skilled friends to help you out with all this. I'm not a fan of the peg boards that have been popular in office spaces/desk set ups, but I really like the way you put yourself together and making the space appear so much cleaner by adding the lights, adding that strip of wood to hide and clean up the uneven woodwork, hiding the screws. Those type of things definitely do matter (to me at least) and I like the thought and intention you set in this space. Congrats! 🌊

Would love to see how you make a bedroom/office setup similar to this. My girlfriend I did the same for her, minus all the cable management and super awesome details. I am always afraid of putting these things on the walls but you really upgraded it all and if I was a landlord I wouldn’t complain. Been living in an apartment for 5 years now and always just had only white walls so this is a game changing space design

🌊 Nice desk set-up! I like the cohesive approach and design strategy to get the finished concept just right. But quick question: how long did it take to do the decluttering process, and how did you or Clair decide on what stays and what goes? It would be cool to see a video about that. 🙂 Good design, of course, is achieved with less, and this video clearly demonstrates that in the final reveal. The process to get there, I think, is much harder. Thanks for sharing this! Great job!

I really enjoy watching desk and room makeovers and yours is one of the very best I’ve seen. When I saw that you had secured the soundboard to the wall using screws and had not immediately covered up the screw heads, I was a bit concerned, however, you rectified that later on. You’ve done really first-class job. I would be happy for you to re-design my office if we were co located in the same country, and I had the money to do it!
