It's very interesting how you have a Lao maternal grandmother that was affected by the war. Something like that makes you and I very similar. I grew up in America, my family is from Laos, my grandparents escaped the war after 1975. Grandpa was imprisoned by the Pathet Lao in a re-education camp before meeting my grandma and their kids at the refugee camp in Ubon. They spent years there before finding asylum in the United States in 1980. Thank you for sharing and great job.

maybe, laos does not mean anything to those who have not met it yet, but for those who know, laos is a country that deserves respect.

Wow! This video is very well done, factual, consequential, and realistic narratives. I would certify this video as an official reference history of Laos. ❤❤

Great effort and well balanced - the version of history taught in schools in Laos is very vague and distorted by nationalistic/party propaganda.

So I see Hmong people, Hmong soldiers and Hmong general Vang Pao in this video and yet let alone not a single word in this video mentioning the word Hmong. This video is straight up communist propaganda as if the Hmong people and our crucial role serving under the Royal Lao king Souvanna Phouma fighting both the Vietcong and Pathet Lao never existed.

Sorry I guess?? You want me to make a Hmong documentary or something?
