I used to love when my Godfather raced modifieds... someday I will buy and own one to race.

Looks like a great track. I grew up in the 80s loving the modifieds. Are these the tour type modifieds or the Sks like we have at stafford/thompson ect? So many different types now lol. I know the open modifieds are popping up more and more these days but it would be nice to see the big boys on a weekly basis again.

The Race of Champions tour runs Tour Type modifieds I believe. On a weekly basis, we run Sportsman modifieds at this track, which I believe are pretty much the same as the SK rules. Sportsmans run 350ci engines with some rules as to what you can do to them to keep the costs down. I think the SK only lets you run sealed 602 engines from one specific supplier, while the Sportsmans can run a bunch of different similar small block engines. They are basically the same. I'm glad to see Modifieds becoming the staple of northeast short track racing, I love these things.
