Also a paper clip fits perfectly through and you can bend it completely back around the groves where the spring fits and glue it down. No way to lose the pins then because the pin is all one piece. Works perfect! Promise

My granite grom had the same effect when I went brushless..barely controlable..but i ended up putting everything back to stock..I think they're fun enough right out of the box.. another great video man!

@basherz_den they did a good job with this I even said brushless might be a mistake lol. I have some parts now I am going to try a few things and see if we can manage this on a brushless not for speed but more power because it struggles in the grass but hey its small its going to happen but I have a few more ideas for it.

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife I just counted my sets of shocks I have … 21! I’ve got the perfect integy shocks for that truck… you know they’re yours if you want them. Custom pistons and with 35wt oil they would be perfect for your Grom

Mine should be here this week. Question what do you think about just leaving the brushed motor and just upgrading the ESC and TX to stand alone units and going 3S on the ESC. Do you think the brushed motor could handle 3S?

I dont think brushed motors are as forgiving to power and heat like a brushless. I would say try it stock if you need a little bit more speed you can gear it up. I would add a fan as well on my review video the stock motor was getting hot. I would either go all in and replace everything at that point or try to tune the stock set up

Just wonder if 3S would be an option with the brushed motor if I ever wanted to go beyond stock. But watching all the vids it looks to be plenty fast. Some of these video with the brushless actually dont look fun, Those things are out of control flipping over and most of them are breaking.

I have several videos with it the last one I took it camping for some reason my elevator was way out of trim and I still tried to fly it I hit a tree and it came down then I flew it to the ground popped it back together and it still flew

@rcguygarage lol but this is my dslr a Canon 80d its struggling because of the low light I need to add some lighting I swapped because the gopro was like 3ft away but it looked like it was 20ft this is normally a fast lense but it needs a bit more light it does not have that large of an aperture

I own the Granite Grom and the Typhon Grom, and they've been great in stock form. I have not purchased the Mojave Grom yet. However, I am wondering for $150 (Mohave Grom) plus these $29 of upgrade parts (ARA311231), if a guy isn't better off buying the $220 Arrma Senton 4X4 550 brushed instead? What do you think?

Thats hard to say if you like the smaller form factor of the grom you wont like having a larger 10th scale at the same time the Senton probably does not have the cvd problem, you can always get Arrma to warranty it which is a pain but maybe they will fix it then lol

The body is too heavy and wide…. On the typhon grom good balance for speed runs, the granite is short wheel base and sloppy steering for speed… so granite typhon grom is the one for brushless….

Maybe just try turning the punch down and reduce your steering dual rates. I even turned the dual rates down with stock power. It's got awesome scale leaning during turns but it will definitely roll 👍

Thats the plan to turn that down I don't know how much it will help I just think it's not designed for this speed its just unstable. I can bind it to my other Dumbo add exponential to the steering to slow it down too that might help. I really like the way it was out of the box so I might go back possibly gear it up a little bit and use another brushed esc I have that might give it the little kick it can handle

@rc4life315 thats why I said in the beginning it did so well stock it was probably a mistake and it probably is I am going to try a few other mods to see but its always fun to try. I have a video I did this with the Typhon Grom and its a fun little car it goes 45 and handles it so well so far no problems out of that one. Biggest problem with the short course set up is narrow foot print and high center if gravity. But it suffers bad going through the grass so if we can up the power but slow it down might make it a great conversation I really wanted a lower kv motor for this its hard to get everything to line up stay tuned to see whats next
