hey. thanks for the info. i’ll take some pics of mine folded. maybe a picture is better. i had the same problem you had. but taking the seat off and adjusting the stem height fixed my issue. maybe what i am calling fixed is just acceptable and your piece is waaaay better? i’ll check it out. thanks for the video and the reply. Hey no worries, my friend! I had high hopes for the Slate and what seemed like a simple error like the stem folding the wrong way got me worked up a bit lol. The Shortie by DBN is really well built. I had one of his first ones I put on a Carbo model X, but the new one is real quality and makes this bike fold way better. Plus I’m a huge bmx bar kinda guy, so it’s the best of both worlds for me. Steering also seems to be improved. Handles a bit more nimble. How are you liking the bike so far?? I’ve only got a few miles riding around, but excited to hear some real world feedback if you have some.

I found some places, like E-Bike Junction, that had Mokwheel listed as brands they carried, but they all say "Sold Out", so I'm not sure if they used to, but they don't anymore, not sure about that.

It’s at the top of my list as well, honestly love everything else except that dang folding stem it comes with. It’s also a bit longer than I expected, so the reach is a bit further than I thought it would be. Makes for an easy to step through frame though. You have a dealer you can go test ride one at?

you’re not folding it correctly. assemble it back like you originally had it. remove the seat. fold it then put the seat back in. it’s very compact. my issue is both i own are not as configurable as our himiway’s. the torque sensor is too sensitive. we ghost pedal and bikes surge too much

Hey Rick! So, as far as I can tell, Mokwheel didn't reinvent how folding bikes are supposed to fold. The package I get from folding the bike up in its regular configuration, even taking the seat off as you suggest, makes the handlebars stick out quite a bit, when compared to the new solution we found. You can check out our latest video where we installed the TurtleNeck Stem from @davidbrandnew and it fixed all the issues and made the Mokwheel Slate a better folding bike.
