Rebecca Wisocky is a wonderful and hysterical actress. I first saw her on a Desperate Housewives spinoff called Devious Maids. She played the same kind of character (rich woman who employed the maids) and she easily stole every scene she was in. Hetty is one of my favorite ghosts!

Hetty died from suicide bc the authorities were about to arrest her and she had no choice. This is explained more in season 3 episode 8.
