Weirdly enough, on some early PAL Wii U consoles (including mine), the Home Page still has "Browse by category" on it, while other ones just have a blank page

Yeah, I was thinking about that. I wish Nintendo wouldn’t do that but it seems inevitable that they close the shops on the previous consoles a few years after the next one comes out.

I was also on the Eshops when they both closed. The Switch is currently as old as the Wii U was when the Switch released.

Weirdly, for me, after the eShops for Wii U and 3DS closed, I still had menu options, they just went back to the default ones and software while still browseable read "unavailable"
