As a Mexican, it really bothers me to see this. First, Mexico should be playing IN MEXICO with their home fanbase. Second, I'm tired of seeing the entitlement of the Mexican fanbase especially when the team plays in the US. As your comment, yes, most Mexicans that live here in the US are "illegal" migrants, which generally come from the poorer and less educated parts of Mexico. When Mexico plays in Mexico, the audience's behavior tends to be a bit more even, less of that low class crap that we witnessed during this game. I can say this with 100% confidence because I've lived on both sides of the border and have a lot of family that are of the "low class" mindset. It does happen in Europe, when police or somebody estimates there is no big risk of fights. Fans of my country, Croatia, were mixed with Dutch fans in the Netherlands few days ago, and with Russian fans in Russia 2018, for example. I don't remember seeing that in club football though.

Insanely well played USA. Man I miss the times when Mexico had their insane, iconic superstars playing on the team. We obviously needed a generational change, but still sucks. Still, I hope to still get to see growth from Santi Jiménez and other promising players from the team. I at least hope some of them can become stars in due time.

@@n-zedorai6613 I would love to know. Mexico is literally dominating in world football when it comes to lower age brackets like the sub--17 world cup (we have won several times). But somehow, our players go down the drain once they go pro. Most likely due to the shitty and corrupt system focused on making money nonstop. The Mexican league pays MILLIONS but players are stuck there in limbo in mediocrity, since they never get to really suffer against the truly great players.

Yeah it's a really weird experience seeing people who grew up and live America boo the team because they were in Mexico for 5 mins when born. I don't get it if you grew up here learned here live and work here maybe married with kids here you're American as apple pie regardless of your ethnic background! Always irks me when I see it.
