The Moment You Walked Into Sunglass Hut // Emotional Super 8mm Film Wedding

I have so many things to say about these two that I’m having a difficult time writing this. In a nut shell, Matt and Becca were some of the BEST clients I have ever had for multiple reasons. First, and most important, it’s apparent that they love one another with every fiber of their being which makes capturing a love story so easy. Then there’s the fact that they know how to have a great time, even on a day that can be rather stressful like your wedding day. Between Matt, Becca, their families and the bridal party, there was never a dull moment! I’ve never seen so much laughter and joy which was like a breath of fresh air. Lastly there’s the fact that they accepted a curveball from me with open arms. I showed up on their wedding day and after saying hello to Becca I pulled out my super 8mm film camera. I told her, “Hey! I have this super cool vintage film camera and I would love to use it throughout the day. The catch is, I legit don’t know if it works. It exposes film but I’ve never sent something out to be processed so it could be a total bust.” After showing her an example of super 8mm film on IG she said “Yep, I’m all about that!” And I am so happy she did! I feel like the film truly adds something special to their video when mixed in with the high definition footage. It’s a timeless look and the footage is REAL! No need for post production magic to replicate the look, this is as authentic as it gets. I am forever grateful that Matt and Becca selected me to be their wedding videographer! I also have to give a shout out to Gbemi Ojo for assisting me throughout the day and helping with shooting film. He shot a large portion of the super 8 throughout the day and absolutely KILLED IT! I really hope you love their video as much as I do!
