Ukrainska Pravda tracks down Ukrainian MPs, officials and even a former president on the Côte d'Azur
Parts one and two of the Monaco Battalion story clearly demonstrated that even as Russia's full-scale invasion continues, the Côte d'Azur, one of the most expensive places in the world, remains the destination of choice for Ukrainian VIP refugees and holidaymakers.
After a series of scandals involving overseas holidays, Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council banned foreign travel for officials and MPs earlier this year.
Since then, government officials, members of parliament, and a number of other officials, prosecutors, judges and local government representatives have only been able to cross the border when on official business.
This spring, while tracking down the assets of Russian elites, Ukrainska Pravda conducted two investigations on the French Riviera. And of course, we couldn't help noticing some of the Ukrainian MPs and officials who, despite the ban, are still flying to the Côte d'Azur.
