It seems like the film offers a cautionary message about being exploited by Western diplomacy propaganda. A sense of loss implying that exposure to Western influences or propaganda can lead to a loss of innocence or a decline in traditional values. Drawing parallels between the themes of the movie (which explores the intersection of spirituality, violence, and politics) and the potential risks of being swayed by external influences. Such message encourages critical thinking and discernment, urging individuals to be aware of potential biases and manipulation in media and diplomacy. A valid point to note. Many countries have indeed been influenced by Western powers, often under the guise of diplomacy and promoting liberty. However, this influence can sometimes be a means to advance the interests of the dominant power, rather than genuinely supporting the well-being of the influenced nation. For e.g, the United States and United Kingdom, in particular, have a complex history of diplomatic interventions and influences around the world. While they have promoted democracy and human rights in some cases, they have also been criticized for their involvement in regime changes, covert operations, and supporting authoritarian regimes that serve their interests. Meanwhile, both the US and UK face significant domestic challenges, such as income inequality, political polarization, and social injustices. It is ironic that while they promote democracy and freedom abroad, they still grapple with unresolved issues at home. We have to be mindful on the importance of critically evaluating the motivations and actions of powerful nations, even when they claim to be promoting noble values. It also emphasizes the need for genuine self-reflection and addressing domestic issues, rather than solely focusing on international influence and expansion. The cultural and religious roots of individualism in Western societies, particularly in the US and UK, have shaped their values and beliefs. Individualism emphasizes personal freedom, autonomy, and self-reliance, which can sometimes lead to a focus on individual interests over collective well-being. In contrast, many Eastern cultures, such as those in Asia and Africa, have a strong tradition of communalism, which prioritizes community, interdependence, and collective harmony. This cultural difference can lead to varying approaches to social, political, and economic issues. The Western emphasis on individualism has contributed to their diplomatic and political approaches, often prioritizing national interests and sovereignty over international cooperation and collective action. Meanwhile, Eastern cultures may be more inclined towards consensus-building and collective decision-making. Recognizing these cultural differences is essential for fostering understanding and cooperation between nations. By acknowledging and respecting these divergent perspectives, mankind can work towards more effective collaboration and a more harmonious global community. 🙏
