I bought this single at one of their gigs - I would have been 14. I listened to it again and again. I even took it into school and played it to one of my music teachers. They couldn’t believe it either. It was a defining part of my teenage years and remains one of the greatest achievements of all time, anywhere, ever. I was there. I saw it. It happened. It remains utterly extraordinary, mesmerising and visionary. Unfortunately I may have been wearing a leather coat and a straw hat at the time.
