It took nearly 20 years for the park to get a new roller coaster, but this Gerstlaurer Infinity coaster was well worth the wait.
With a 133 feet tall vertical lift hill and a 101° beyond vertical drop that sends rides through five inversions at speeds up to 65 mph, this super smooth ride features a dive loop, a huge over-banked curve, a twist and dive loop, a negative-g stall loop, an Immelmann, a corkscrew and the most elaborate lighting we've ever seen on a coaster.

Ok, first of all, it is meant to “struggle” through every inversion. My sister and dad rode it and had the time of their lives. The slow inversions have an effect to make it seem like there is no gravity. It really is an amazing thrill ride.

That makes no sense. How does slowing the inversion make you feel like there's no gravity? If you slow down, centrifugal force is diminished which means gravity will pull you out of your seat.

OK, all, I'm not sure how great your observation skills are, but there is literally NO ONE in the park aside from these riders and the workers. The park is not open at this point. This was a special ride given to CoasterForce. That stalling is because the cars aren't fully warmed up yet. They would have only gone through a fraction of the opening run-throughs before the park's opening that day. The ride is very smooth with very intentional stalls. The wind didn't really play too much in the stalling. It literally was just the wheels working themselves up to normal operation after being dormant for 10+ hours.

The train is actually really slow when its going through the inversions.. But if you rode it, thats an incredible ride.. Its really fun.. And the hangtime makes the thrill increased, and make you wanna fall down.. But its completely safe.. And its also smooth, its not a head-banging ride which is awesome;)

If the passengers are heavier, isn't it less likely to do that because there's more kinetic energy and momentum? If Lauren, her friend and the kids are light, that could explain it. Also leaving passengers hanging in negative G just for a moment can be a kinda thrilling feeling too and not automatically bad.

the front seats are empty so it's running a bit slower, I've been on it a few times and thought it looked a bit slow too. Granted two of those inversions are supposed to be stalls that make you feel like your falling out since there is only a lap bar. It's an awesome ride, though I'm still prepared for my annual trip to Cedar Point for Halloweekends!

More like “lack of pacing”. Hang time is one thing but when you lack intensity it’s not exactly the “thrill” factor anymore. I’ve seen people like Airtime Thrills and El Toro Ryan rate this coaster in the top 100. And I can see that because the layout is great, but I wouldn’t put it above #80 just because of all the slow hang time moments. To each their own though.

I’m glad our amazing Iowa state is getting some love, it such an amazing place and I love it here. I mean 4 MILLION views, that’s a lot for us because it’s so cool to have four million views on a ride I go on all the time and go to Adventureland at least twice a year. Iowa is a little state that doesn’t get much appreciation for such and amazing place, it also has one of the most beautiful capitals in the US which I think is so cool.

I was very nervous to go it, but I did. I went on it 2 days ago, and I went on it 2 times in a row, seconds after the first time because it was dead at Adventureland. I was so damn scared, it was fun. I just didn't like when the inversions would kinda stop when you're sideways. I tried putting my arms up, and they kept going down because of the inversions. It was pretty fun, but way too much to go 2 times in a row, right after each other. My other friends actually went 3 times back to back, but I couldn't go a third time. I'm quite proud that I went on it not once, but twice. I'll go on it again, but I'm just a little worried if it were to get stuck on one of those inventions. I know that the ride will shut down for the day or whatever if there's high winds, which is good. I'm sure the wind could really have a affect on it. Going up honestly isn't that bad, and it does take v long to get to the top. Before you know it you're you're going straight down. The drop wasn't horrible. It honestly looks a lot scarier than what it really is. I got myself a shirt that says The Monster because I am a proud bean indeed that I went on it and faced my fears. I love Adventureland and can't go back soon. 🎢💙
