I think you’re spot on with your assessment of both fighters, of course Sam hasn’t fought the same class of fighters as Inoue, I think Sams ready for this fight though, you’ve got to step up eventually and this is the best time for Sam, if he feels confident within himself. Who knows whenever any fighter is truly ready to fight Inoue! Inoue is probably the best fighter in the world at the moment, but someone needs to go one better than all of his opponents. I’m hoping that man is Sam Goodwin! No matter what happens it’s great for Australian Boxing to have another boxer in the spotlight to fight the world’s best. 🥊🥊

Don't know yet. Goodman is only 26 years old (J.Moloney 33 & Inoue 31). He's still ascending to the stars considering his undefeated status & consistently increasing the level of opponents. On a side note, Goodman was unfairly criticized for ducking Inoue last fight. He fought Chainoi 'Rock Man' Worawut 25-0 (15 KO's) in July. B-level opponent maybe? it was a calculated risk in preparation for Inoue, luckily the minor hand injury Goodman picked up is now healed.

Let's be honest, Inoue is going to pick Goodman apart. Inoue is a once in a generation fighter and could well become 3 or 4 times undisputed. I think the only person that could potentially give him trouble is Junto, but even then Inoue wins on experience and IQ. I can only see him moving up in weight when he beats these two.

Great analysis. I agree 90 percent. One thing is totally true...Big power vs No power is ALWAYS a disaster. Always. Goodman needs to find a good excuse to get out of this fight or he is going to be hospitalized. Goodman gets hit flush way too often. He's just lucky the guys he has been fighting have no power. When Inoue hits him flush, it's going to be a serious medical issue. Inoue does not need to be technical against Goodman. All he needs to do is exactly what you said, mop the canvass with Goodman's face.

Good breakdown bro. Because of Inoue's combination of speed, power and IQ its really hard to see anyone beating him. He has been a little more vulnerable since moving to 122, but thats mostly because of when he attacks with his hands down. It won't last forever but at 31 he's going to be there for a while. I just look forward to seeing an all time great clean out his division, behind Usyk he is Pound for Pound number 2.

I agree with most of your assessment, and wanna highlight a few points. 1. Inoue has been knock downed because his competition has been much much higher than what Sam Goodman has ever faced. Goodman would have been an underdog against Fulton, Tapales, and Louis Nery(who carries a 77,14% KO ratio). 2. Inoue is better in every aspect imo, his counter punching are more lethal, and has way better timing and precision, for example in Donaire 2, Inoue fought defensively, and gave him a knock down + serveral wobblings up till the KO, by counter punching alone. Inoue decided to fight more defensively than ever after their first fight where his orbital bone got broken, but usually fights more aggressively, albeit the Doheney he adjusted his strategy a little bit. Inoue fought more defensively against Fulton, leaving a very few openings, and he picked the bigger man with longer reach apart, it really comes down to whatever Inoue wants to. 3. Inoue has some of the best Back step-shuffle, after Loma i would say, combined with his power and precision, most orthodox fighters, and non-awkward boxers will stand little chance, especially, if you have Sam Good's power, which minimize the threat even more.

As u know I'm biased but the X factor u haven't considered (and this is going to sound jingoistic) is that Goodman has that Australian grit - we never give up, that's why we're such a success as a country because we bat well above our weight. For this reason I think Sam can win a decision.

Inouye beat Donaire while fighting with a broken nose and orbital bone for 3 or 4 rounds. Everyone's seen him walking through and over his opponents so often we forget that he's been in a war while still young and inexperienced. He hasn't had to be tough that often but when he's had to, he pulled through.

Inoue has much better defense. Goodman was getting touched up easily in his last fight despite being a defense first fighter. Maybe he was trying a different tactic in that fight but i dont see anything in him that points to being better there, his only advantage is he is bigger fighter so has the length to keep out of range easier but otherwise some of the shots he was taking were ones a great defensive fighter wouldnt get hit with

Goodman was chasing Inoue before then. Inoue had only just been dropped by Luis Nery in May. Goodman was matched with fringe contender Chainoi Warawut 25-0 (15 KO's) in July, subsequently having to have minor hand surgery. Inoue then proceeded with a keep busy fight. TJ Doheny was completely outclassed by Goodman in March of 2023. Now Inoue may see Goodman as being in his way, but Goodman is hungry and can't wait - so the fight is perfectly aligned.

He was coming into the Inoue fight coming off of 3 KO wins and over 2 months of prep time to fight the biggest fight of his life. There's a big difference and Goodman didn't stop him. Goodman didn't need a tune up for Sept since he fought only months before then. So it should of been perfectly aligned for Sept and Dec could have been MJ. Now Inoue's schedule is behind and people think he was ducking Goodman and MJ. Also he had to wait because Inoue fought for undisputed and then WBC ordered him to fight Nery. It was his turn 4 months after that and Inoue made it public his plans were to fight in May, Sept and Dec, so he could have planned ahead if he really wanted the fight then. Now let's see how the fight plays out in Dec.

At the beginning of this video Inoue clearly says "I would love to go into negotiation with Sam Goodman for Setptember" meaning, the fight was far from made at that stage. Goodman had been fighting every 2 or 3 months & staying more active than Inoue. Chainoi Warawut 25-0 (15 KO's) was Goodman's last fight before heading off to Japan, not a tune-up. The hand injury Goodman picked up didn't change his mandatory status to Inoue. No one thinks Inoue was ducking anyone, he can't fight everyone at once. Next they'll be saying he's ducking Tank LOL! I'm an Australian Inoue fan (Goodman too). It is possible for P4P #1 to be beaten in his backyard. Definately looking forward to seeing Inoue Vs Goodman.
