When I was 15, in 1973, we lived on an 80 acre farm that back then would have been considered rural but in reality was only about 15-20 min. from town. We raised poultry for a local poultry company and had a long chicken house. Beside the end and near the driveway was a yard light that had pegs on it so when the bulb burned out you could climb the pole and change out the bulb. I went outside around 7pm to feed our Alaskan Husky but unlike usual, he was not at the back door waiting. I heard him whining and followed the sound toward the edge of our house where we had a took shed and our root cellar. He was under the building, having dug out a spot and would not come out when I called. That was when I smelled what I thought was a skunk. Figuring that was what had ran him under the shed, I stood up and then I felt as if I was being watched so I turned in a circle to see if there was a visible skunk. As I faced toward the chicken house, I saw a tall creature with long reddish hair all over its body. Its face was human like and covered with a long beard and long head hair. I could see him clearly as he stood right under the light, which later my Mom measured that by the pegs I could see that night, that this creature was about 8 foot. I froze in shock. I knew what I was looking at. Never a doubt. And it was looking at me. I glanced back toward the house to see how far I was to the back door and then back to it. It was holding something in its hand that was nearest the poultry house which when I looked directly at its hand saw it was a dead chicken. The next day we saw where the screen on the poultry house had been pulled back. This creature and I stood facing each other for a few seconds which felt like hours and then he turned, gently walked about 10 ft. To our road gate that enclosed our field and he stepped over it. At 15, I was about 4’11 and knew the top of the gate was at my eye level. After he crossed over, he took a few steps and then looked back at me and then just kinda walked, loped into the field and I could not see him anymore in the dark. But, being a girl, that look back made me scream bloody murder! My Mom came out with her shot gun as we had seen a panther a few weeks before by our pond and she had placed the gun by the back door. After a few moments of jabbering Nonsense I was able to tell her what I saw. That was when she said she heard something scratching on a screen the night before. I was relieved to have been believed but refused to feed the dog or go out after dark anymore. Later we learned a neighbor whose property backed up to ours also saw this creature. After growing up, I often think back to that experience and what I had felt. I think shock and confusion at what I was seeing. I think it may have been just as shocked to see me. But, Oddly, at the time, up until it turned and looked back at me, I never felt fear. I did not sense danger and when it looked at me I did not see any in its eyes which to me were dark. But. I have never forgotten the exact details to this day. This happened in NW Arkansas, at the western tip of the Ozarks. I do not believe they are monkeys or gorillas. It was too human and had an intelligent look. And just like other animals, when their territory is encroached upon, they try to scare you off. I think people looking for them have less chance to see them then those who just happen upon them. A lot of the things this video talks about reminds me of my experience.

I don't doubt you one bit, Mary. I live in NW Arkansas right now, in the upper Boston Mountains of the Arkansas Ozarks, in the country near the Madison and Washington County line. Lots of poultry houses, local stories, and a couple of sighting reports within a few miles of here. I haven't seen any, but have talked to a neighbor who claims to have. There are a lot more stories from the Ouachita Mountains, a few hours south of us, but they're clearly here, also.

Robin, I understand that you have MANY different hominoid species in the bay area... I have been there to study the area a few times. The smell of urine is very obvious these days. It didn't smell like that in past years.... I've had numerous sightings of hairy freaks and their fecal matter right in the city... Toolmaking is evident, many examples of hypodermic needles being made and used by the animals on display. Also, many violent and lazy beasts on a direct migration from points south... (Mexico perhaps??) Amazing!!! Lol

If I was a researcher in the field I’d take advantage of the fact that Bigfoot is going to get water from somewhere everyday. Most likely they have regular spots they return to day after day. The best evidence ever gathered happened at Bluff Creek and many of the clearest images from the field have been taken around sources of water. Surveilling water holes is a extremely successful approach that hunters use to capture game after all.

For bigfoots that are that tall and hefty in weight, They do walk and run in big strides. They can walk & run fast in the area. They are not in the area for long. They seem to travel in circles or zigzag. Which would make sense. Great evidence that the #TeamMinerva has captured.

Let me tell you how good your documentaries are… generally up here on KZbin, I pop around all over the place on different channels watching a whole bunch of anything and everything on different subject matter. I love the Bigfoot subject, but most of the channels that cover it keep repeating the same videos and information over and over again because let’s face it, it’s not like new videos pop up every day. But, your channel and your content is so professionally done… it’s just a joy to watch. Even more so then something like finding Bigfoot. The reason being, is their show had a formula in which most reality TV shows follow. To the point of exhaustion to the viewer, because you know at the end of the show that you aren’t going to see much of anything and are lucky to even get a footprint. Which is what makes their formulaic format so drab. It’s the equivalent of watching something like Pawn Stars… Except they never buy or sell anything. They just talk to each customer and ask them all the exact same questions. Your show, it’s set up in a way that you don’t know what’s going to happen. Because you guys truly don’t know what’s going to happen. It comes through on the videos. Which is what makes watching them so fun. Even if you don’t find a bigfoot or see or hear too much of anything… It’s all about the journey with you guys. As opposed to always staring down the bullseye but never hitting the target with other shows. And why I know, personally, as well put together an interesting… Yes it’s one of the few things on KZbin that I check every day and get disappointed when there’s not a new video. Knowing full well that these take quite a bit of production to put together, though it doesn’t derail my disappointment. LoL. As I just want to keep watching. My guess is, you guys can do a live show for seven days straight and many people like me probably wouldn’t sleep for seven days thinking they would miss something. I’ve been in entertainment all of my life, both on the talent side and production. I’ve also been in comedy and music, pretty much any type of entertainment I love to do. I love to put smiles on peoples faces and make them laugh and forget about life for a while. That’s exactly what your show does for me, which is why I appreciate it so much. Not that I don’t hope that one day you guys catch a big foot on video throwing rocks at your cabin… But truthfully, that may end up being a disappointment for a lot of people who just enjoy the hunt and as I said before, the trip getting to the destinations more than reaching the destination itself. Thank you guys again and keep up the great work.

It's been years ago now. But I wanted to tell you this since I just found your channel. I'm 34 male now. When this happened I was 17. I live in webster County wv. Me and my friend went raccoon and bear hunting one night with one dog and a atv. Where we was at was a old strip mine coal mine around 20 years abandoned so plenty of vegetation growing back. It was around 2am we had the dog running ahead of us. He hit a hot trail and took off. About 5 mins he comes running back tail between his legs and trying to get on the atv. Dog was scared bad. This is a dog I've seen fight bear and Bob cats. This dog was brave and tough. So I was curious to what had him so scared. I head toward where he came from. As I drop down into a field with a large tree against the woodline I saw redish orange eyes in the tree. As I got closer my dog jumped off the atv and ran away. I got about 50 feet from the tree. Something dropped down to the ground and stood up on 2 legs and ran into the woods. Next day I went back. The tree limb where the top of its head was about 9 feet from the ground. Where it landed on the ground the ground had 2 large indents. If you never been on a strip mine the ground is very hard. So what ever left the indents in the ground was very heavy. To this day I'm not sure what I saw

And it stopped. Then the tiny rocks being thrown. Then later the growl. Every hair on my body stood straight out. The girls were petrified and wanted to leave. Pitch black other than our small camp fire. Like I said. It was an experience that I'll never forget.

What a great story. I would suggest to anyone interested in this subject to research it in depth. Sadly, this was one of a few encounters where contact and eventual habituation could’ve possibly been accomplished. The animal never hurt or attacked anyone with the exception of the family pet that was assumingely killed by the animal. I don’t believe it was ever proven that the animal killed the dog, it was just an assumption because the dog was killed while the animal was known to be around. If the family wasn’t afraid of the animal I believe as I wrote above that trust could’ve been achieved between the family and the animal. It did come around close to the home at times and bang on the outside walls. It was obviously solitary and was trying to make some kind of closer contact with the family. If I remember correctly, the kids would play hide and seek in the woods behind the home and would see the animal watching them. It never chased them or tried anything malicious towards the children, it always kept a safe distance. Again, like I wrote above, I see it as one of the few missed opportunity to make contact with this relic Hominoid. But of course I understand the situation completely, the family was scared and the last thing on any of their minds was to come face to face with it. But, I believe it was because of the family pet incident. I’m sure they thought it would possibly kill them too if given the chance. If we could only go back in time with clearer thinking heads. What may have been achieved could’ve been extraordinary.

Why are you assuming its solitary because it bangs on the house? Most of the things you listed like wall banging and children watching are behaviors typical of these beings and have been reported by loads of witnesses.

@@unropednope4644why would anyone assume it was solitary because it banged on the walls of the home? I never said that..... I said solitary because it was never reported by the Family of seeing two animals. The story tells of one animal. There could’ve possibly been more, but only one came around the home. Something most people don’t know is that there were multiple reports coming from Paris Township ( two miles west of Minerva) of a tall upright walking hairy creature that weighed by witness estimates to be about 300lbs living in a heavily wooded area. Supposedly there were two sets of prints found, 14inch and 21inch so, it was around the same time as the Minerva story (1978). Theoretically there could’ve been more than one but in Minerva only one was reported.

@ren bao Does it make sense that a whole Family would come up with a story out of the blue sky and have the eyes of their community and police dept on them? Why would anyone, especially a whole Family who never made a penny from the story seek the attention and scrutiny of so many? That makes no sense...... Liars who lie are always eventually caught lying!

Nice video guys. Informal yet informative. One thing though; if you want to capture anything that lives in the woods, and that can be spooked from a long way off, you need to be really really quiet. Your crunching throught the tracks and thicket, tripping over things, and you can be absolutely certain that if there's a Sasquatch in the vicinity, he's watching everything you're doing. Remember too, that these animals, despite their size, are good climbers. Whilst you're expecting to see something at ground level, they're up a tree watching you.

Grate stuff guys and gals. My question is how did the Sasquatch know the second the woman stood up and notices him from that house from that distance? Almost like they are intuitive. Ive heard stories a lot like this where they just know that people are there when there shouldn't be any way they could know. Like they have a sixth sense about those kinds of things. Creepy

I don't think its "sixth" sense.. I think its what we call "woods" sense..meaning when you grow up or evolve in that habitat, forage it, hunt it, your eyes and brain work 90 percent better to details. In MY encounter I was about the same distance when it saw me across a pasture here in North Texas (about 300 yards), as I watched it with binoculars, it stood up and moved to another position. I think they are good at spotting things from far distances for hunting reasons. They have to.

@@discojelly yep could be. I just find it interesting. Ive head stories of people being in big tents that you can't see through and a Sasquatch knowing right where they were sleeping. Just strange stories like that. Or knowing where people were in their house knocking on walls. Its weird

I spent every spare minute in the woods hunting , fishing , taking long hikes to remote fishing and camping. When I was in my mid to late 30's i had a unexplainable experience. I haven't hunted with bow or gun since it happened. I recently at 63yrs old I have started the take short hikes on well worn trails. I'll say this I carry a lot of armament and hundreds rounds of extra ammo.

While I get that Ohio is decent Sasquatch habitat and there are many encounters there...I'm a Michigan girl and that's where I had my experience. With as sparsely populated as the UP is in Michigan and the number of encounters people have reported up there, (both Sasquatch and Dogman), you guys should really take a little time and head north into Michigan and see what you can find.
