I sold my 1934 Gibson Melody Maker to a guy named Borris. It had a fantastic tone because it was so old. Borris was a collector who didn't know how to play guitar. He was pretty good on the Ukulele. He paid me a lot of money because he thought it was a very early Gibson - you know.... a 1934.... The only bad thing was it was missing a few tuners.

I've found as I get up in years that young musicians have a deep down passion that they lose when they get older and get paid for their work. I love to hear young musicians play, full of passion, full of soul. I keep you kids in my prayers. Don't sell your love and passion for a buck. Keep your soul and play for the love of music, always. I love the blues and you are right up there with the best, even and especially at your young age. Thank you!

Theres a lot of solo guitarist who played blues but most of them when they played you cant feel the soul on what they play .This kid is going to be a legend someday

It was back in 1968 when I thought I heard the best Blues ever at a concert with John Mayall and Eric Clapton, Rotterdam the Netherlands. I was wrong.... This piece of music beats it all. This blues has a soul. I hear it and I feel it.

TEN OUT OF TEN FOR THAT TOBY!! ... i listen to a lot of folks playing guitar and that was as good as anything i've heard... i love the way that you worked into the jam those faster...what i'd call sub-riffs...of cascading notes... the micro-complexity of this jam was most pleasing to the ear!! ... as you say the tone of this guitar is delicious... not as sharp sounding as your 335 and the low end notes sound like a tired head falling slowly into a feather pillow with a gentle thump...umm... this nice long well-worked sunday morning slow blues certainly passed muster with me!! ... a VERY classy performance toby... WELL PLAYED LAD!! ...

Nothing wrong with some slow blues ,and you did a fine job on this one ,young master. Toby ! Best of luck with your new axe it seems to fit you well You bring a tear to my eyes my friend with the feelings you express when you play guitar ,your an old soul trapped in a young body Always shinning brightly with each note you tastily play Rock on Toby ............as you always do ,your the future of the blues for generations to come

They say 10 out of 10 is a perfect score. As of this writing, there are 65 previous comments and not a single negative in the bunch. That makes a perfect score of 65 out of 65. There is not much I can add to that other than it was a joy to listen and watch.
@ryanmarshall11415 жыл бұрын
@Toby Lee - Morris was a nickname of "Mr. Toshio Moridaira" who was the first distributor in Japan for a range of custom premium build Fender and Gibson guitars. Then it went "H.S. Anderson" brand from one of this employees, into the "Mad Cat" which had a custom build for the pop artist Prince. The originals are very rare and collector items.

Happy Sunday Master Toby from the Great Smoky Mountains of east Tennessee! As we would say Howdy! (how-dee) I can't explain the happiness you bring each and every week to an old soul unable to play anymore. Last week you slowed down a bit. Then again this week with such an awesome jam! You stated that you're not the biggest of people. That you're still just a kid. Maybe so my young friend However you have a talent that moves people and that Toby is bigger then anything! Thank you for sharing each and every week
