The way they killed Brian was an odd choice to me. Brian was roasted with a flame thrower before. Peter knocked all his teeth out by ramming his face into a fire hydrant. Something that should have also killed him. Or at the very least put him in a coma. Getting caught in the crossover of a gang shoot out would have made more sense canonically.
