The items don't go away, the shells are what it shows. If there is 3 live 3 blank, there are 6 rounds in the shotgun. Changing the polarity doesn't remove or add a shell. It's turns blank live or live blank. Drinking a beer is the only thing that I can think of at this moment that racks a round. You can shoot a live, blank, or drink a beer. You keep miscounting, thinking things are changing when they aren't. The odds aren't that bad. The "Count" resets upon the bots death, or shells run out. That's when you're also given new items. The count doesn't carry over and over and over, unless you mod it to if there is such a mod. The count is whatever it shows from showing the shells, till either you/the bot dies, or it runs out of ammo, and new shells come up.

There’s an error with the dealer’s code for the magnifying glass. If they use it, then eject the shell, they’ll still think the shell they saw is in there. For example, if the first shell is a blank and the second is live, they use the magnifying glass and see it’s blank, they eject it, then because of the error, they think the blank is still in, so they’ll act like it’s blank
