Medieval Madness is my all time favourite and most addictive

I think it's the simpler and more shallow games that give you the one more game feeling. TNA is a perfect example as you've mentioned. I have 4 Stern machines. Love them all. But Deadpool is the only one I'm addicted too cos it's simple and doesn't take 60 mins to get through. Something in that methinks.

100% Flash Gordon. Not complicated rules set, but more challenging to get both multipliers going and cash in bonus than some newer wozard modes.

Jaws Prem is probably the best game I’ve ever played and TMNT pro is one of those games that I can’t stop pressing start. TMNT is fast and brutal but has that one more game appeal (imo) like no other!

Yes agree addictive pinball not the same as popular pinball. Think when theme & rules work well together and able to jump into a game quickly this to me is what makes a good game. THIS maybe favoring older games more than newer. e.g. Diner/Taxi and Gottlieb System 3 and onward games.

TWD is addictive as it is frustrating, but I love it. Agree, Pinfest was brilliant. Amazing pinballs there this year.

TNA kept me coming back for more, the Zaccaria pins at Pinfest 2024 were suprisingly great, 'Farfalla' specifically was an aboslute joy to play, a spectacle of a game art wise. Finally, Williams Firepower held my attention for hours.. I had to buy it and it turns out, the pin is in great condition and I absolutely love it. What a weekend!

TNA is strangely addicting, I don't really like the arts, I find the rules are very repetitive, and it is insanely difficult, but I can't stop playing it😂

I think the definition of addictiveness in games is: easy to play but hard to master. A very difficult balance to achieve. I've been playing TZ a lot lately and I personally find it's got that "just one more go" to it.

The key to an addictive game in my opinion is that it makes you feel like you're "one shot away" from something great as often as possible. I was honestly wondering if you were going to mention Whitewater when this video started. That game annoys me yet I play it a dozen times every time I see it

Indiana Jones, Fish Tales, Deadpool, Fun House, The Addams Family. What makes them irresistible? The flow of the game. The feedback on what to do next with multiple paths, timing a location of targets, combinations, soundscape and overall look/feel.

I cleaned and clear coated my Godzilla with rejex. The game is so fast now it plays like a totally different machine. Games are lightning fast and so much more fun. The ball travels differently due to faster moving ball on bounce.

Yeah, it's asskickers or shallower rules is the recipe. Like Pulp Fiction and Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park is probably the only Elwin, maybe Bond 60. Thank god Jaws and GZ have those challenge modes, or they would be a 1 and dones.

First, I don't own any machine yet. I'm playing on location only. My favorite games are the one that are the most addictives. To me, short games but that do offer different paths. Currently Pulp Fiction has become a top game for me. I feel guilty everytime I play it cuz it's like keeping it for myself for 7-8-9-10 games in a row.( I always take a look behind to see if someone seems to be waiting for it). I would say Deadpool is kind of addictive too and a favorite although does not offer that much paths in the beginning. I like trying to add team-ups and collect chimmis before going into the scoop. Megalodon is my favorite mode. Going into the scoop by accident, Sabretooth. Wolverine Team-Up, Juggernaut. But not all fast brutal games are addictives. BKSOR does not do that to me for some reason. Currently, JW neither. Too much of a points machine then a progression machine and I don't really care much for points. I need machines that want you to complete a task more than just play it and do your best for points. Anyway,I also enjoy more deep games like Jaws or Godzilla, but after playing for 12-15 minutes, I'm not pressing the start button again. I'm going to something else and sometimes come back for a 2nd game later on. Now, I'm saving for my first machine(s). Looking for BTTF. BUT, will depend on how DP is handlind AAIW and the delevery time. Code evolution and quality issue or not...This may influence my decision and I may go otherwise: PF se + Deadpool pro?

Deadpool is extremely addictive no doubt. Would agree on TNA being an ass kicker/but addictive at the same time. I feel my Alice Cooper is much like that. Brutal tight shots, and when I have a good game I always feel good. I found Jaws (just traded it for Scooby) to be “addictive “ as well. I will absolutely have another DP down the road though =Fantastic😎

1) You use the word addictive like its a good thing haha. Clearly games pre 2000 were designed to be 'addictive' to maximize profits. Just look at some of their advertisements aimed at distros. Not a main priority for most newer games, particularly JJP. I don't necessarily want 'addictive' games. I don't like that feeling. I just want to have fun, maybe go on journey. 2) You touched on it but you are conflating short ball times with addictive-ness a bit too. So I think what makes a game 'addictive' by your definition is a wizard mode or high score that is achievable in 10-20 minutes (seemingly juuuust out of reach!). Need to work on the attention span and stamina, mate! No, after a 45 min game of Godzilla I indeed do not want to press the start button again, haha. But I keep coming back to it month after month after month and I own it and I love it every time. More overall time on it than any other game. But I will pick John Wick, MM, Deadpool, Whitewater or other shorter playing games on location most every time. The big issue most home players run in to though is that once you have seen everything there is to see in one of these shorter, additive games it can start to get old. AfM callouts are great, in small doses. Especially as you start to be able to walk up and see the entire game in 15 minutes it can start to almost be annoying haha.

Interesting that Gonzo puts AFM near the top of his lists, but leaves Medieval Madness out…for me MM is superior in every way to AFM…
@colemangreen41914 ай бұрын
It is indeed an unpopular opinion of his, haha. I think objectively MM is just better - toys, mechs, shots, callouts, art. MM came out after AfM afterall, so it basically is just an improved game. Some subjectively just prefer the scifi theme though, and the saucer shot over the castle shot.
@Freakyguy6664 ай бұрын
@@colemangreen4191 you’re 100% right of course! And the castle shot has multiple mechanical steps: drawbridge then the door then the entire castle “crumbles”….what does the main shot in AFM do? Not much in comparison….
