Ecovacs really hit it out of the park with this one, I haven’t been this excited about a mopbot in too long! Finally a mopbot with onboard tank AND spinning mop heads with the self cleaning base

Please can you describe how x1 plus model deals with multi floor house? Does it have "automatic floor function?," ...meaning if I put it on second floor and start vacuuming, will it automatically recognise and implement second map from its memory or, I should manually change current map in application first, and only then start vacuuming of second floor? How many floors(maps) it can hold in memory? What is behaviour of robot when it finish vacuuming of the second map (floor where there is no charging station). Does it stop when it finish vacuuming ( and prompt user that cleaning is completed via app) or it continue to seek charging station?

I can't decide between the X1 Omni, and the S7 MaxV Ultra... I like the spinning mops, mop drying, dock design, and the overall design/looks of the X1 Omni... BUT Roborock seems to be more reliable with map saving and better app over the years, and has the vibrarise so you don't need to manually remove the mopping attachments every time you wanna vacuum carpet.... I think the X1 looks waaay better/more premium, but don't know if it's worth it over the Roborock...
@xeon2k82 жыл бұрын
it doesnt look more premium nor feels like it, and yes the RR is better value than this definitely.

@@TomCreasy i have the S7 plus, and a friend has the t8 aivi, the roller material, the bin, the wheels.. are not comparable.

I had the same question and picked Roborock. Mainly because of vibrarise, plastic roller for hair, bigger (and removable) water compartment, and reviews doesn't show spinning mop was more effective, while the X1 dock seems to need more regular cleaning. I'm also currently a ecovacs T8 user with recurring map quirks, so thought might be worth trying a change. Otherwise actually both very comparable.
@nintendo-toasteredition2 жыл бұрын
If your house is just an home for carpet then go for roborock but if you have wood floors mostly then go for ecovacs and deebot is also 3 in one which is like vacuum with main brush , mopping and vacuum with no main brush mode

Great summary. Very clear. Any ideas on how the Omni version would compare with the roborock v7 top model or the respective Roomba top notch device? Any personal preferences? Kudos again for the great video

How do you feel about the X1 Omni being used for a 2 story home? Is it too much trouble to move the vac and base station upstairs after cleaning lower level? Would you have to map the floor plan every time you move the base station?

The only thing I wish it did different would be the bag system on the base. If it was bagless it would be the best

Hi thank you for your video☺️. How about the app: how many languages it has (Ukrainian or russian) and is it possible for 2 people with different phones (iPhone and Samsung) to control same robot?
@wojtalkow2 жыл бұрын
Basic question: does the vacuum have to be on-line connected to the internet or it can be connected to offline wifi (wifi that is not conneted to the internet). If the anwser is that is has to be online, then you have to be crazy to use this device - it has microphone, cameras and moves freely inside the house... Btw. the app seems to be a rearranged (different icons layout) Roborock app.

Do you have to take the pads off to do a rug, or does it know you are doing a rug, and won't spin, or dispense water?
@AuthenTech2 жыл бұрын
It does sense carpets, but can get sorta confusing if the pads are wet or not. I usually like to send it out for separate cleaning sessions, hardwood vs carpet areas.
@rorybsimpson2 жыл бұрын
@@AuthenTech Ok thank you. I just wanted to leave the scrubbing pads on the unit, and vacuum rugs first, and then do the hardwood floors after. Sounds like you have to remove scrubbing pads, just wanted to do everything at once (vacuum then mop), while I was at work.

Why those manufacturers would force users to register an account to use their vacume cleaners?! This is outrageous! The manufacturers would get very sensitive private information about users, such as size and layout of the house, family routine and whether anybody is at home at certain time or day! Those auto cleaners have Lidar or other sensors. I can accept that a mobile app is required to control the cleaners but they should work perfectly ok without any user identity information or sending any data to some unkown servers.

Ecovacs is the only brand that will not let you have a hidden wifi network. Other than ecovacs, I have never had any smart device ever tell me I had to have my wifi network visible to the world for easy hacking. That is very shady. I returned it and now use roborock.
