speaking as a floridian, the marketplace by the entrance KINDA feels like st pete near the sponge market if it’s still there??? that was just my first thought tho. also the “pupupu” name and kirby custom patterns are all because kirby was, before he was called kirby (kaabii if you will in japanese), he was “popopo” which was referenced in a later game as the “pupupu islands.”
