I remember buying the Live after Death vinyl and wondering what the heck that guitar was in the photos.......and all these years later I still haven't ever seen one in person but I guess that's hardly surprising. Very cool.

Great one, Nico! You are lucky! Lado guitars are very rare, I remember Maiden had a sponsorship for Lado in 1984. Arry also played a Lado bass on Aces High video if my memory serves me well.

I owned a Lado from the early '90's until a few years ago. Amazing guitars. They have super thin necks. I don't know if I have changed but I no longer like super thin necks. They cause my hand to cramp. I currently have a Sterling JP160 and it's the most comfortable neck I have ever owned. I am hoping to buy a real Music Man JP in a few months.
@LicksOfTheBeast6 ай бұрын
Interesting... for me, it's more about the width of the neck. I prefer when it's a little on the wider side. Those Music Man JP models are incredible... I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait!! The necks of the Earth models I've seen are pretty standard C shapes. Not thin, not chunky... Just very comfortable.

The one he played in 1988 is actually a Lazer, which was an offshoot of the Earth model. The body is little wider and slightly more squared...
@sabrepax90126 ай бұрын
Wasn t the Lazer used by Adrian in the parts needing "synth vibe sound " during the 7th tour set ?
@filipvanderkelen95806 ай бұрын
@@LicksOfTheBeast looked it up. A Lado Lazer is also a beauty. I saw the Seventh Son tour twice. Back then I used to stand anywhere around the mixing table for sound and being able to see the hole stage. So from that distance I thought I saw the Lado Earth. Great job on the Maiden and Randy Rhoads covers
@Nghilifa6 ай бұрын
@@sabrepax9012 Yes, I'm pretty sure he only used it for its built in guitar synth (I'm not sure if the synth came standard on the model though). It's for his solo in Can I Play With Madness. He may have used it on The Clairvoyant as well (been a while since I've seen Maiden England).
