Not even just the jade player, but looking back mk1 gameplay is so much better than mk11. I will say mk11 was far superior when it comes to the costumiazation.

Not just customization; mk11 is superior on all fronts except for the gameplay. This game was packed with amazing content and great modes that kept it fun to play, with mk1 there's nothing aside from playing online and invasions is the worst mode they implemented in a mortal kombat game

MK11 is by far the least versatile. Game is slower paced. I personally can't play this game anymore after playing so much SF6 and MK1. I even went back to play MKX. 11 feels clunky and is slow. That's how I feel at least. I put the most hours into it. More than any other MK game. But I'll probably never play it again like I do with X. You have a lot of options to do cool looking combos in MKX. It's freedom is very refreshing. 3 variations for every character and the sprint mechanic is amazing. Makes the game very fast. There is a reason why people (including myself) still play it to this day. Thanks to the amount of options you have for combos, I'd say it feels the most satisfying and has the coolest looking combos. MK1 has a lot of versatility too, but for very different reason. It's an assist based fighter, and it's done pretty well in my opinion. Characters don't have more variations to choose from anymore, and though the combos have more freedom than 11, it's still not on the level of MKX. However the cameo fighters kind of balance that out. You can do a lot of fun stuff with every single cameo while using any character. But it was a bit hard to get used to for me. Also, it possibly has the most rewarding combos out of the 3 games. I don't think they look the coolest, nor feel the most satisfying, but definitely the most rewarding of you take your time to learn them. MKX: coolest looking combos and most versatility. Very fast paced. MK11: Slow paced. No versatility whatsoever. More about zoning and whiff punishing. You can do some decent looking combos, but they get old fast after seeing it over and over again. MK1: Decent pace and pretty good versatility thanks to the cameo system. Combos are pretty cool looking. Might also get a bit boring after a while, since every character has one big dmg combo with their best cameo. If that happens, just change your cameo and experiment.

Id argue that mk11 has a faster pace then mk1 but responds slower and moves slower when compared to the other 2. As far as versatility goes it is very character and variation dependent.

Mk 1 is cool but I would rather have a variation than an assist. So do you have MKX as best all-time or do you like sf 6 or Tekken better and who is your favorite character? ​

@@iz7979 I'm kinda biased towards MK to be honest. I'd say the order is: MKX&SF6>MK1>MK9>>>>>>>MK11 Though I must admit I'm having the most fun with MK1 at the moment. Tekken I can't speak for. I'm not a seasoned fighting game player and I don't have any experience with 3D fighters. MK11 was the first fighting game I put many hours into and learned. I played MK9 as a kid but was way too young to care about combos and stuff. Skipped MKX because by the time I got an Xbox One, MK11 was already released. I grabbed X while it was on a discount and became my favourite, though the online playerbase was very experienced at that point, and they kicked my ass online but I still had fun. SF6 is possibly the most polished game I have ever played. The art style might not be for everyone, but I'm loving it. Fits the game very well. It's also my very first SF game. Took me a while to get used to how the combos work. They are very different from MK. Once I got the hang of though it was very hard to put it down. I never used modern controls either, but the learning curve feels amazing. The reason I'm not playing at the moment is because it's killing my Dpad. I'll probably buy an arcade stick in the future and start playing again. But controllers are way too expensive for me to ruin them over a single game. I don't have this problem with MK. Combos are much easier to execute since you don't have many half and full circles. Or those Z type of inputs that kill my Dpad. I also don't have to execute them crazy fast. So I'm sticking to MK now for a while. As for my characters: MK9: Sub-Zero and Scorpion (shocker) As a kid I found it cool that I can freeze my opponents. And Scorpion had this 111 combo that I used to spam. Never played online though. MK11: Cassie, Skarlet (I wasn't zoning, fk zoning), and I was learning Sonya when I bought MKX. But I mostly played Cassie. MKX: Cassie (Hollywood, Brawler) and Mileena (Piercing). Here too, I mostly played Cassie. SF6: Cammy, Ryu, Guile. Tried Zangief, but he requires way too much patience. Mostly played Cammy. I like to be in my oppontent's face all the time and apply pressure. That's true for MK games too. MK1: Li Mei, Peacemaker, now waiting for Homelander. I enjoy Li Mei because everything I do looks cool. Nice effects. She has good dmg, pretty good mixups and I get to be in my opponent's personal space all the time. Also not many people play her for some reason.

I wish, but probably not. For him to exist it requires Bi-Han (MK1 Sub-zero) to die. I hope they just retcon that part of his lore and make him a completely new character. Noob was my main in MK11 and I want him in MK1 so bad. Maybe they'll do an MK11 aftermath style DLC for MK1 and then they can bring him in.

i feel like he just doesn't know better or just isn't as skilled and still just wants to win desperately rather than flat out doing it on purpose just to make people mad. i mean, i played like that in the beginning too because it's all i could do. cuz here's the thing. if it's stupid, but it works, then it's not stupid, and this guy probably won a few matches against some players this way who were actually way more skilled than him so he continued to fight this way. blame the game, not the player, seriously, if you're able to win this way, it's the game's fault. it's honestly surprising mk doesn't have any penalty for spamming.
