THE MOST AWESOME MEMORIAL DAY RUSH With Rare Catches [5/24/24] (Read Description)

Here’s a second edition of the Memorial Day rush which i railfanned Friday May 24, 2024 that Amtrak & NJ Transit had let out a couple of extra getaway trains for extra holiday travel. Video also includes, a couple of NJT Deadheads & Equipment Moves, a Charter Special which ran from DC to NYC for an upcoming game at MSG the Saturday after, missed the charter running southbound which sucks but caught 9800 again on Northeast Regional 138 (later in the video) and after 9PM Amtrak decided to send out 2 Acela II train sets to test between HAM & County Interlockings both directions. Northeast Regional 116 is not on the schedule, when does it run?

Not to sound rude but, If you would have read the description you would’ve found out that 116 was “ONLY an extra getaway train for the Memorial holiday” not a regular service train

It’s usually random but they been testing most weeknights im not sure which days, im sure they do test on Wednesdays & Fridays as far as ik

@@NorthEastTransitProductions yea usually between Hamilton & Jersey Av back to back HAM & County Interlockings, the fastest speed testing takes place right at Princeton Junction
