Kamov helicopters don't really need a tail because of their dual rotors. I don't know why the game still gives credit for kill even though the helicopter remains functional.

Kamovs need the tail for weight balance, without the tail they become unbalanced to the point where blades themselves cannot compensate and the helicopter would just flip over. Also the tail houses avionics. And in general the shockwave of a missile exploding next to the helicopter would obliterate the inner workings of the gear shaft and blades themselves @@unn4medfeel1ng

My favorite thing from the KA50/52 is that you can fire multiple tank shells into it and it would still fly. And if you do kill it, it can stay alive for an additional 30 seconds and still kill tanks until then as long as the engine works. Fuck snail bias.

Trust me, the view from the VT1 shooting vehicle is like balancing two plates on a stick while running. That thing is needed to be used at top tier because of its speeed, but it cant be used close range because of the dumb fire pre launch timer and at range the missile bobs up and down like a mother Fer. Often, when I get a kill. My reticle is nowhere near the thing I am trying to hit and you also have to use thermal to know where the missile is at range. Which is fine, but it is one of the LAST unlocks!

You need to understand that that is how the west make us think western vehicles work. But anyone who follows the Ukraine war knows that leopard 2A6 is no match to a 1970's ATGM. The Russians do the same, low profile=harder to hit, which doesn't help when the surrounding terrain is flat.

If the Ka-50's entire tail is somehow ripped off, in the first place the shrapnel/fragmentation damage would completely or severely shred engine components or completely rip the rotor system off the helicopter if struck by a massive 73 kg SAM flying at around mach 3. Even if the Ka-50's tail got ripped off with no engine damage, it'd be completely unable to perform maneuvers without immediately falling into a forward-inclined dive into the ground due to a massive weight offset (as the tail provides serious counterbalance to the helicopter). This thing should not be surviving multiple SAMs with the kinetic energy equivalent of tons worth plus massive explosion fragments + blast wave that would rattle the helicopter's blades off clean. It's just downright stupid the helicopter doesn't lose any sort of maneuverability performance when a portion of it's tail that can consist of a lot of electronics and engine components is completely apart from the main body.

The only motivation I had left on playing the game is teaching these heli mf's that I rule the sky with my top tier spaa's, not them. And after I destroyed them, Imma follow them to heaven or hell just to destroy them again. Next I go to other single multiverses to destroy them all over again. This is a feature of the coaxial scheme of the ka-50/52 screws, which do not need a tail screw, since the rotation of two screws in different directions compensates for the effect of rotation, as in schemes with one screw, the tail screw compensates for it, and it only needs the tail to stabilize after maneuvers. This unique scheme is used only on helicopters of the Ka series, as well as it is the only helicopter with an ejection system in the world, and it has proven its effectiveness already
